"Democrats have the votes to pass this. Why are you insisting House Republicans"...
"vote for this too?"

Just when you think that a Stock Market crash can't be blamed on Democrats this time, the Corporate Media finds a way....

Question is, will it work? Will Democrats actually go it alone on the bailout?

1. Boy I hope they don't go it alone...
But I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I think it could be awful for Obama.

2. If they go it alone and it doesn't work
guess who will take the hit? If they insist on a bipartisan solution, fingers can't be pointed at the Dems.

3. No... they won't. If at least 40% of GOP isn't on board, it won't happen

7. So you think the Democratic leadership will allow 60% of Republicans to vote "No"...
Doesn't that mean that this will, indeed, be a Bush/Democratic bailout?

4. "Because a Partisan Bail Out Will NOT Work"
Pretty simple talking point. It has ti be bi-partisan or it won't restore the confidence in the markets.

5. Simple, the majority of the country "believe" this is bad. If there is no bi-partisan
support, McCain and the republicans will scream to the hills that the democrats are essentially against the people.

It will be bad politically for the Dems.

6. I don't see how McCain can pretend to suspend his campaign, back out of the
debates, and run to DC because of this financial crisis only to sit back and let the Democrats go it alone. If that's his idea of leadership, he's a failure of spectacular magnitude. He threw himself into the middle of this and he has to deliver. He's got to drum up GOP support, or deliver on his mav'rick status and get on board with the Dems even if he's one of only a handful of GOPers.
