The yield on the One Month Treasury bill dropped below zero this morning.

That's how bad the 'flight to safety' can get. (Investors are reasonably confident the United States will still exist one month from now, so big money has been piling into the 1 month T-bill.)

When the interest rate yield is negative that's not a Bond.

That's a safety deposit box fee!

It is back above zero now, but the fact it can slip into the negative speaks volumes about how psychological this stuff gets. That is F-E-A-R.

Short term interest rates are now moving in lock-step with the Intrade probability of congressional passage. (Which is currently in the 80s)
