Would you be willing to say that McCain's campaign is the worst run presidential campaign...
...you've ever seen from the Republican party?

They all have their share of "dumbassery" but I personally have never seen a campaign failing on as many levels as McCain's is right now.

1. Republican melt down, unpopular war, out of touch candidate, inept campaign, and...
only 3 points down from the Democrats. Something is wrong here.

3. Obama is black.
If African American Barack Obama was snowy white Joe Smith, he'd probably be 20 points up right now. In my opinion anyway. Lots of racialy charged fear out there.

Also, there are lots of idiots.

...and of course there are a lot of racist idiots.

2. Absolutely NOT...
Bush in '92 was horridly incompetent, and Dole '96 was just FLAT.

5. Dole's message was flat, yes. But I don't think he ran a bad campaign...
(from what I remember, I was much younger then). He just couldn't hold a candle to Clinton's charisma.

7. Bush1 had REASON to run worst campaign in history, he expected to be impeached after Dec1992 release
of BCCI report. Bush's longtime pal Jackson Stephens had his boy in Arkansas set and ready to go and once in office, BCCI matters were deep-sixed throughout the 90s along with the outstanding matters in IranContra and Iraqgate.

10. Yep. McCain's as competent as either of those.

He just has the misfortune to be trying to sell Bush after eight years of Bush, and not to have a clue as to what else to do.

In '92 or '96, he coulda been a contenda.

4. It seems that way to me, and yet McCain should be about 40% I would think. Then again...
I don't think the polls are accounting for the huge increase in Democratic registrations.
