1. PA looks decent
A little close but 4 points is better than some of the other polls have had. Interestingly, I'm not sure I've ever seen a poll with McCain leading in PA, even though some polls have been close or even tied.

Oregon is good news too...Obama's winning it by a much bigger margin than Kerry or Gore won it.

11. Oregon was considered a "battleground" state in the last two presidential elections -- not any more.

The state is safely blue, and getting bluer by the day. Democratic registration is soaring.

3. Which always strikes me as being rather strange. We have a Democratic
governor, both Senators are Democrats as well as 3 out of 4 U. S. Representatives. However, McCain will probably take the state.

7. There's a recent "Dick Morris Electoral map" that has AR as a "toss-up"

I don't think I've ever seen anything indicate that Arkansas was suddenly in play, although I expect it's like how West Virginia has been polling despite having similarly strong Democratic representation.

12. Yeah, generally we are a "blue" state.

But we still have way too many bigots in this state (and unfortunately, that includes racist Dems)

15. There's really no excuse for it, but some people find it very hard to change the attitudes
they learned as children. I know many people of all political persuasions who truly believe that they are not racist, but their words and actions prove that they are on some level.

4. I expected MA to have a higher percentage for Obama.
I have yet to see a McSame sticker here. Our entire congressional delegation is Democratic.

6. What??! I'm outraged that Obama's only 18 points up on McCain here in Vermont.
All kidding aside, those polls look good to me.

8. That's not a terrible result in AR, Obama takes 50% of independents.
He has no chance of winning it, but I think it bodes well for places like Virginia and West Virgina.
