A Question
What are your plans for the first debate, which is scheduled for Friday, September 26, at 9 pm est?

I plan to invite the people that usually come here to watch boxing matches, plus some old friends and ex-coworkers. I'll be busy during the day, preparing food and drinks.

I just got one of the e-mails from Michelle Obama, and am sure that many/most of you got the same message. I'm starting to look forward to Friday night!

3. I will be in Greece...
I will be in Greece for all but the final debate.

I plan on watching international coverage, and checking in once a day and maybe looking for some YouTube highlights.

I'm disappointed I'll be out of the country, but in a way I'm also glad. I'd like to see it how it plays internationally.

6. I think that Obama's longer reach will determine the outcome.
I predict a KO by the third round.

7. I can't wait!
My daughter and one of my many feisty Irish pals will be at my place, and there will be drinking;) I'm trying to think of a game that won't get us too wasted... a shot every time McCain... hmmm... looks stupid. No, too easy. Fumbles a word? Lies? Pft... what about... every time he looks like his head is going to explode! That's it! This should include actual explosions, swear words, etc.

Well, I better shop for Irish and Scotch whiskeys! And pull the inflatable bed out of the closet for Seamus... make up the guest room for daughter... haha! No one drives from my house after THAT debate!

8. What a great question.
I just moved back to the town I grew up in -after being gone for nearly 20 years- and I don't know anyone here any more. I posted in the Ca forum to see if anyone was having a get together in my home town.

11. Postponed plans to have dinner with some friends.
Rescheduled as I told my friend I didn't feel comfortable coming to their home and yelling at their television set. :)

Will probably spend the evening with my sister at her place or mine - we will probably watch it together with our families. It will certainly be an animated evening.

17. Heading over to the BF's
If he gets off work early (which is doubtful) we'll go to his cousin's place about 3 hours away.

Either way, there will be booze.

What did Michelle say? She e-mails my mom sometimes, but only asks for money.

18. BF and I and...
Depending on how it is going: Irish or Jamaican Coffees if the weather is cool; a carton of Turkey Hill chocolate/peanut butter swirl and two spoons; a roll of duct tape to put over my mouth if/when needed because my hand over my mouth isn't strong enough to keep what my brain is thinking from spilling out over my tongue; a game of Twister with all the red circles changed to blue; Pin-the-tail on the donkey if it stays still long enough :kick: Playing Keep-Away with the remote (keep away from me) because I can't stand to hear McMcMcMc speak.

All in all it's going to be a very good night. I've been looking forward to this 'debate date' for some time.
