Start a Revolution
Ok, lets say they steal it once again, but it's made to look farely with BBV. We all know Bush is unelectable, he was in 2000 and even more so now. He has lost a lot of his base and the Democrats base is more energized than ever. So if Bush wins, we know it wasnt fare, no matter what the media says otherwise. Do you all here believe that people are really going to just sit on their asses and let these people get away with it again? I certainly hope not. Malloy has said before he can picture a civil war started. Huge, I mean massive protests. Ill be there proudly if it happens. I've heard a lot of people say "I'll just stick it out another four years and work on 2008." or "Ill move to Canada." That's BS people and Im sick of it. I guess some of you fail to realize that if we let these devils get another four years. An election will be impossible to win for Dems in 2008. You think its hard now, just wait till the whole US has Diebold. Dont people get it, Bush wants a dictatorship. Im so frustrated. Im saying if Bush "wins", we need to step up by the masses and take our country back, and we need to start preparing for it now to be better safe than sorry.

13. Bush steals it again
Don't forget that that is what the NeoCons want. Armed revolution and we are the terrorists. They declare Martial Law and suspend the Constitution for the duration. The cold War lasted 50 years. How long do you think the Rabid Radical Right's war on freedom will last? Until they bomb US back into the Stone Age. Don't forget these people are worse than bigots and fascists they are Religious Zealots. They believe they are saved and we are in the way of their heaven on earth. Don't think there is going to be another chance after Nov. 2. There will not. We have to get out the vote and make sure they do not steal the White House again. It doesn't stop at the White House we have to remove the cancer that has infected our Government from every branch of our government Executive legislative and judicial. Mortgage your home if you have to but get the truth out now. We have to get the voters to the poles and we have to make sure the votes are counted. Don't vote on any Die bold voting machine. Get all the crooked voting machines DE-certified. This is like no other time in history we must act now there is no second chance.

3. Children of Liberty
I have considered resurrecting the "Sons of Liberty" in our more sexually egalitarian age as the "Children of Liberty"... the Sons were the grassroots support behind the revolution... Resurrecting the organization has patriotic overtones and was an organization directed specifically at fighting against tyranny in America. 200 years later, it seem that there is a need for such an organization again. So... why not?

11. Well... erm...
First we need a webportal where people anywhere can find out about us and "join up"... An organization is nothing without members... I haven't created a homepage, but I did put together a free blog at childrenofliberty.blogspot.com... But that only gets us part of the way there...

Anyway, I just thought it would be a good idea to have such an organization going should they steal another election... Beyond that, I have no idea, but am certainly open to suggestions...

Good luck to us all living under Bush dictatorship. God help us all. I've lost faith. How am I susposed to believe that a "God" created a planet in seven days but cant save that same planet by stopping this dictator. I think he wants to leave it up to us. If we dont, then we've failed him and ourselves.

20. I have been thinking about this situation
Guns, again. I have been thinking about this a lot.

I have gun owners in my family. It's not easy to reason with them. I'm sure those of you do too, will agree with that.

I'm tired of hearing their speeches. That I am somehow "protected by their guns." Bull**it. The guns of the Right point AT me, not away from me. I insist to them the second amendment was not intended to let us own UZI's or bazookas or M16's. I can usually get them to admit that, but this thread and ones like it have always troubled me.

Because I never thought it would get this bad. The Right is on the march: lying, cheating, waging illegal war as they go. And where does it end? Don't even want to think about it, existing in some Diebold-engineered sham democracy ushered in by BushCo. Truth is, we're almost there already. I can't stomach it.

Does anyone think marches and protests are really going to work against that? Don't get me wrong, I'll be there, because you gotta try. But the more I think about it, what's there, really, to stop them? Passive resistance cannot stop bullets. I think those in power have proven to the world they are NOT receptive to reasoned appeals to human dignity. God knows, millions tried. We screamed and pleaded.

And that's all we'll have to fight them with, I'm afraid. Knowing that I might be partially responsible for that, is starting to eat at me.

PLEASE someone tell me I'm wrong about this.

Welcome to DU, Man.

Look at the history of Russia. They lived under the gun, eh?
Well, they finally took to the streets and things changed. If we have too, we can do the same here. We will.

Being an optimist, I have to say that the vote will be so large as to counter any diebold switches that may be attempted and Kerry will be elected. However, if we still have a pig-licking congress next year the change will be much slower than needed.

There is a thread in GD about making sure federal elections are counted by hand. Check it out. Then go see your supervisor of elections and tell them you want a paper ballot on which to cast your vote for Kerry.

Here is the GD url:

22. ?? Geezus, in another forum they are trying to censure people from
having a "doubt" or worry about our candidate or the campaign. Then I come in here and people are laughing at people for having a thought as to what one might do in a worse case scenario.

What is going on in DU today? It's very weird. It has happened rather quick like--over the last hour. I feel like I've fallen into a RW website. Yikes!
