Quote like this from Democrats just make me mad,
"Now, I believe John McCain is a good man and a genuine American hero. And we honor his half-century of service to this nation."

John McCain, let's face it, he's got a compelling biography," <"Someone said"> said, citing the Republican's captivity during the Vietnam War.

"Patriotism must, if it is to mean anything, involve the willingness to sacrifice -- to give up something we value on behalf of a larger cause. For those ... like (probable Republican nominee) John McCain who have endured physical torment in service to our country -- no further proof of such sacrifice is necessary. And let me also add that no one should ever devalue that service, especially for the sake of a political campaign, and that goes for supporters on both sides."

Damn those Clinton's. They should be ashamed.

:sarcasm:

1. Well, they're just acknowledging his previous service.
Which, I feel personally, is one of his only positive traits.

They need to give credit where due, otherwise they just look like bullies. But after giving due credit, they need to outline why Obama is still the best man for the job.

2. The candidate himself has to be magnanimous..... his SURROGATES SHOULD NOT BE

That's what you don't get.

it's OK for Obama to give McCain praise... it looks "Presidential". It's not ok for other prominent Democrats to do so.

Get it?

Of course you don't.

5. I never mentioned a person at all in my
OP. Maybe it was Bill maybe it was Biden. Maybe Santa Claus said it.

4. When Bill Clinton was president, John McCain back him up
and went on TV to support in on Foreign Affairs and War in Kosova, etc

A President is appreciative of these acts. Since we have permitted
and continue to permit our party to be perceived as weak in these areas
Obama will probably need GOP support if he becomes President.

When Clinton needed n someone ,it was McCain who helped.
