I don't care if someone's the biggest asshole on the planet, but if he or she can govern effectively, do what's right for the people, isn't as crooked as a crack in a sidewalk, is reasonably intelligent and intellectually curious...I say that's a good recipe for a decent president.

This isn't a slam against Obama. He's the right person at the right time, IMO.

I worked for a doctor some years ago who was a major asshole. He had the bedside manner of a two ton truck. But if I was dying...he's the doctor I'd want working on me. I've worked for a lot of doctors and he's the best, IMO.

This likeability shit just pisses me off. I know it matters, but I really wish it didn't.
