How to neutralize the arguments of racialized McCain voters: Use his record
Yeah, I know that y'all are getting tired of the racism posts, but there's an aspect to those crazy Freeper/Little Green Football folks that we need to explore and deal with.

You know the type; they'll say things like "We can't let a black man in the Lincoln bedroom" or "I'm voting for McCain because Obama's too uppity" and so on and so forth. Basically they're voting for McCain because McCain's white.
Perhaps you can't change the mind of someone who thinks like that, but you can derail that mind for a while.

If someone says something like "I won't vote for Obama because he's black" or something pathetic like that, you can counter with "What has McCain done for White People to deserve their vote? He's done a lot of things TO us, but not FOR us. Look at his record." With that one statement, you freeze them in their tracks. If they look confused, you bring up McCain's rather shameful record.
What has McCain really done in 26 years of legislative service?
Keating 5.
Assaulted diplomats.
Assaulted POW/MIA families.
Verbally assaulted fellow congressmen on multiple occasions.
Lead the cut-and-run movement from Somalia (forgot about that, eh? http://glenngreenwald.blogspot.com/2007/01/republicans-and-congress-war-powers.html)
Authored and helped passed deregulation schemes that led to numerous economic disasters and cost millions of Americans their jobs (Enron, WorldCom, Lehamn Bros, etc).
Passed campaign finance reform legislation and then proceeded to violate said legislation.
Helped start 2 wars (Iraq and Georgia) and lied about it. And then lied about how 'easy' it would be. And then lied about the events of the war. And so on and so forth.
Put basically the entire K St. operation on his bus to run his campaign and turned a blind eye while some of them lobbied from the bus.
Flip-flopped almost 80 times.
Voted against providing funds to victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Voted against veterans issues numerous times.
Voted against key environmental and health care legislation numerous times.
Voted and campaigned against providing equal pay for women. Also called his wife a cunt in public, and probably cheated on her with a lobbyist named Vicki Iseman or whatever.
Hasn't shown up to work in 5 months this year, then criticized Congress when they went on summer recess.
And so on and so forth. You could go on, but you'll just lose their attention.

And then you drop the hammer. THIS is the hammer "Sen. Obama has done more for the white community in his 3+ years in the Senate (14 years total if you count IL state) than McCain has in 26 years! Look at his record." Watch as their jaws drop. If they don't buy it, tell 'em to go on WaPo or any vote tracking sites and see what both have been up to. McCain may (or may not) have signed more good bills than bad bills, but his bad bills are job-destroying whoppers. You don't really see those with Obama's record.

So now you've got 'em reeling. They might counter with "Why is it not racist when 99% of blacks are voting for Obama?" or something like that. You counter that argument with " Look at McCain's record. He voted against the MLK holiday, flip-flopped on the Confederate flag, voted against Katrina relief and investigations, and he hires and supports known racists. IF you were black, would you want to vote for him?"

This should effectively neuter their racialized arguments. Maybe you can't get them to admit changing their minds, but you can plant seeds of doubt in there. When they enter that voting booth or fill out that absentee ballot, your words might come back to them.
