SO...did Sarah Palin cancel her visit to Florida's The Villages? Or not?
A couple of days ago we learned that Sarah Palin had cancelled her visit to The Villages because of weather concerns.

From The Villages Daily Sun: THE VILLAGES — GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's campaign event set for Sunday on Lake Sumter Landing Market Square in The Villages has been canceled by her campaign officials due to weather concerns.

Kinda strange: 30 percent chance of showers. Like almost every day in Florida.

Today I see the Tallahassee Bureau of the Lakeland Ledger is talking about what huge wonderful crowds she will draw. (The Villages has long been Bush country. Republican country..strongly)

So is she or isn't she...going to The Villages, that is.

Palin's Rally at The Villages Sunday May Be a Record-Setter

The retirement community of more than 80,000 residents has hosted President George W. Bush, Florida Govs. Jeb Bush and Charlie Crist, presidential candidates including Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney and many others in recent years.

But local Republicans say this Sunday's rally with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin may be the largest ever.

"Sarah-mania has taken over here," said Richard Cole, the chairman of the The Villages Republican Club of Sumter County. "I think Gov. Romney, Mayor Giuliani and Sen. McCain drew 5,000 people. This one, we're expecting between 20,000 and 25,000."

"I would suggest that people who are going (to attend) should leave now," joked Joe Rudderow, the chairman of the Lake County Republican Party, on Thursday.

Wow, that is one big crowd...according to Cole they expect "Sunday's crowd will be more emotional than even President Bush's visit in 2004."

SO...what am I missing here? Is she or isn't she?

1. Palin Visit To The Villages Back On
THE VILLAGES -- Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin will make her first campaign to visit to Florida on Sunday.

The campaign has gone back and forth on the visit and News 13 learned Wednesday that Palin was cancelling her appearance because of thunderstorms expected for the area, but on Thursday News 13 learned the trip is back on again.

John McCain's running mate will hold a rally at The Villages. That rally will reportedly be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Market Square in the Lake Sumter Landing.

News 13 asked residents if they could sit down with the vice presidential candidate one-on-one, what would they ask?

Guess the thunderstorms aren't going to be bad enough for her to cancel. :eyes:
