Obama only ahead by 2 points in Wisconsin in electoral-vote website average.
In 2004, John Kerry won Wisconsin by 1 point.

I donated $100 to the Wisconsin Democratic Party this year.

2. Over here by Madison I have seen far more Obama signs than McSames.
Although I hear the Waukesha area is full of Pukes.

5. I think that, in the end, we'll take the state (especially if the economy worsens).
But damn if it isn't disconcerting that it's that close.

9. Bush was up in Wisconsin by 8-10 coming out of the GOP Convention
Obama is doing much better there than Kerry was. IMO he will take Wisconsin by 4 or 5.

10. As a tranpanted Texan
living in Wisconsin now, It's great to be in a blue state even though the winters are brutal here. Milwaukee will help Obama win Wisconsin's 10 electoral votes.

11. We also have repug AG J.B. Van Hollen working against us
AG's Lawyers, Staff Defend Lawsuit Over Voting Checks
Government Accountability Board Is Being Sued

UPDATED: 10:21 pm CDT September 18, 2008

MADISON, Wis. -- The latest poll only increases the importance of a lawsuit filed by the state attorney general.

VIDEO: Watch The Report

State Democrats say thousands of voters could lose their vote if J.B. Van Hollen's suit is upheld.

On Thursday, a spokesman for Van Hollen denied election eve politics are at play as both sides went to court and the state's election oversight board maintained its list is legal.

Van Hollen's attorneys defended his lawsuit as legal and appropriate, with no conflict of interest or consultation with any Republican Party official. The suit is aimed at cross referencing up to a million voters by Election Day.

Van Hollen was nowhere to be found as the high-profile case kicked off. But his lawyers told a Dane County judge that documents will show the attorney general has the legal right to sue the Government Accountability Board for allegedly not complying with a federal voter registration law.

The GAB oversees state elections and is counter-suing to disqualify the attorney general from bringing the lawsuit, saying he can't sue the board and represent it in other cases at the same time.

The whole court case revolves around voter eligibility the attorney general alleges the GAB's registration list isn't legal, because two and a half years of voter data hasn't been electronically verified.

But the board insists it has complied with federal law.
