36. Ugh, I don't know who was worse...
the delusional PUMA who thinks McCain is going to give women "economic empowerment", or Palin's wacky rambling non-answer.

On second thought, the winner is McCain actually taking a question about "economic empowerment for women" and turning it into a stump speech about, of all things, school vouchers. Jeezum crow, that was a bad clip!

Palin said something about being a product of Title IX and then McCuckoo suddenly brought up basketball out of nowhere and the question was never answered.

16. So she is a strong supporter of Title IX?
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, now known as the Patsy T. Mink Equal Opportunity in Education Act in honor of its principal author, but more commonly known simply as Title IX, is a United States law enacted on June 23, 1972 that states: "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."<1> Although the most prominent "public face" of Title IX is its impact on high school and collegiate athletics, the original statute made no reference to athletics.<2>
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Title_IX

I will bet one offical and near worthless US dollar that the ignorant moron palin couldn't even answer that question and has no clue that the reason why she was even able to play on her high school basketball team is because of that nasty federal government interference in local affairs.

How very Republican!

McCain's answer was unacceptable and disrespectful. He's clueless and uncaring about issues that are important to women.

Dad took the kids fishing a couple of time, and we spent every afternoon splashing on the beach.

Didn't mean to not specifically ask about your mom too. ;-) I mentioned your dad though because I thought I remembered him having a health issue awhile back and was hoping he was well...glad they're both doing well. Give them my best. :D

We'll be seeing my aunt and uncle this weekend at their son's wedding.

Edited on Thu Sep-18-08 06:09 PM by adoraz
I rather see McCain answer. Palin's answer was even worse I thought anyways....

Please don't tell me that Obama and Biden can't answer questions about women's issues because they are men.

edit: did she specifically ask just Palin? If she did I missed that, but I would still want to see McCain answer.

30. in McCain's defense (gasp, lol)...
in this case, if Palin was the only one to answer, people here would be calling McCain sexist for not responding.

Palin's answer was a lot worse, and we need to pound her on this. We need to make women know for sure who they are voting for (those voting because she is a woman).

31. I based my comment on the OP and did not see the event myself.
Please don't make assumptions about my opinions.

I never said Obama or Biden would be unqualified to answer a question about women's issues because they are men. The point I made was that, based on the OP, Palin was asked a question about women's issues and McCain answered for her. Both McCain and Palin should be able to answer that question if asked. Ditto for Obama and Biden.

I had to assume you watched it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VohVzyMZsEU

An old lady (PUMA- literally) asks. Palin answers for a couple minutes, then McCain does the same. It's a pretty pathetic clip, but watch it anyways. :)

Question to those who saw it- do you think the PUMA was planted there by the GOP? It almost seemed staged...
