Isn't showing strength or ability to lead--it is sour grapes and seeking revenge. The fact that not a single media concern has pointed out that McCain is acting like the kid who holds his breath until he gets some candy drives me absolutely nuts. He repeated the damn town hall line again today, and it was playfully called a "barb" by writers. It's not a barb, it's immature and petty.

1. Oh yeah.
And considering the first debate is next week, they're really making fools of themselves.

2. When he was a child he would hold his breath until he passed out...
that's been reported in the press several times.

McCain's a pouter.

7. My neighbor wouldn't go to coffee with me when I wanted her to,
so I told everyone she was sleeping around while her husband is in Afghanistan.

It's tantamount to that.
Give me a break. They need to call him out on that bullshit.

Sulking because of his whole mopey attitude and need to lash out. Whining because he is trying to blame Obama for it.

Edited on Thu Sep-18-08 03:50 PM by Vincardog
and wanted Obama to be the draw to his meetings?

He (McLier) went negative because Obama would not allow McSame to get a photograph with the crowds only Obama could draw?

16. That's another element of it too..
McCain doesn't do well on the stump. He's an awkward campaigner. Plus, he
doesn't draw big crowds like Obama.

Orchestrated town-hall meetings are artificial. They can be stacked with Obama haters
and planted questions. Can you imagine, "Senator Obama, how many years have you been
a Muslim?" or "Senator Obama, do you think your lack of experience is an embarrassment
to your party?"

McCain is a bully, and we should all applaud Obama for holding his ground and
telling McCain to stuff his town hall, up his town hall!

It annoys me that Colbert and Stewart do a much better job of hammering these things then most of the media (Excepting the usual suspects, of course).

18. THAT...was a thing of beauty!!!!
So, McCain has told the world that he wouldn't be lying and such a nasty
piece of slime--if Obama had agreed to a town-hall meeting.

And why does McCain get away with this brutish, caveman slop???

Someone! Anyone! Explain!

14. It's also abusive and emotional blackmail....

When McCain was in the throes of his negative campaigning--right after he accused Obama of wanting
to teach kindergartners "sex before reading"--McCain brought up a few times that the "tenor of the campaign
would change if Obama would agree to these town-hall meetings.

If you watched "Morning Joe" this week, McCain said the same thing in an interview. Mika Brezenski asked him
why the ads were so negative and McCain answered that--if Obama would agree to these town-hall meetings, then
things wouldn't be so negative.

That was a shout out to Obama--You don't play my way and I start slinging disgusting mud at you.

McCain's continued insistence that he has "repeatedly asked Obama to do these town-hall meetings" indicates
that he has been bullying Obama.

What a piece of shit McCain is. How infantile and vindictive is that man?

Everyone, including Obama, knows that any McCain "town hall" would be saturated with planted questions
and dirty tricks. How stupid does McCain think obama is? Obama won't bend over for McCain, so now
he pays the price. I think that's one thing that's driving McCain nuts this week. He was counting on
unleashing some bombs during a town-hall, but Obama is thwarting those efforts.

McCain knows he won't do well in the debates, so he's got to orchestrate some drama.

This situation shows how ignorant and irrational McCain is--and that he's just like Bush. It also shows
that Obama can stand his ground, despite threats and bullshit from McCain.

Funny though...McCain's negative campaigning backfired on him. His polls sunk because of it. And now the
economy has everyone's eye on reality. Poor John McCain...
