I'm trying to get info about a Joe Biden appearance...

He's scheduled to appear this Sat. at Castlewood, VA at the Russell County Fairgrounds. I'd like to know if I need to get tickets or if I can just show up.

I've called the UMWA office in Castlewood, but only get a message that the number has been disconnected.

Any advice?

CASTLEWOOD -- Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama's running mate, Sen. Joe Biden, will attend the 13th annual Women Freedom Fighters of the United Mine Workers of America's Fish Fry on Saturday. It will be held at the Russell County Fairgrounds in Castlewood, Va.

UMW International political consultant Sam Church of Pennington Gap relayed the information on Thursday. Church said Biden is expected to arrive at around 2 p.m. Gov. Tim Kaine and 9th District Congressman Rick Boucher had previously committed to attend. Obama appeared just two weeks ago in Lebanon, Va.

Joe was in a town near here yesterday and it was a no ticket event. With Castlewoods being at the fairground with more space I'd think it might be the same way.
