I am a Veteran and I greatly appreciate the patriotism of Taxpayers
The first day of each month you graciously provide me and other retirees with a retirement check based on your tax dollars. You help keep VA hospitals open, you provide educational benefits to those in uniform. It is patriotic to pay taxes and its downright hateful and for conservatives to say otherwise.

Its also patriotic to vote for every non-republican on your ballot.

Hey lurkers, I got your fake bandaid right here.

19. I salute all Americans who are hanging on against the hope of a better
day. I salute you, Boss Hog, and all veterans. God bless us all for our tenacity and hope.

2. I concur.
And I also say that borrowing money from Communist China is not very patriotic.

3. I'm glad that my tax dollars help support you and every other veteran. I wish we did much more
for those who risked their lives and health to protect and serve.

Republicans don't believe in charity for the poor, and they don't believe in government support for the poor, and they don't believe in paying their debts. Republicans have proven to be dishonorable in every way, and no amount of flag-wrapping and Bible pounding can cover up that shame.

4. You are worth a hell of a lot more than you get...
I feel damn patriotic in my wish that you received a bigger chunk of the taxes we pay. If we could cut out all the waste, I'd happily hand those trimmings over to veterans, present and future.

Thanks again. I can't seem to say that enough:)

6. I too, thank you, taxpayers!
Twice a month we draw a paycheck. We live in taxpayer funded military housing. I shop at the Commissary on post that has lower prices. It's one of the benefits of being a military dependent. I shop at the local Post Exchange for things like my kids clothes and shoes. I don't have to pay sales tax when I shop there. In exchange for these benefits, my husband has spent nearly 27 months of his adult life in Iraq thus far. He spends a lot of time out training in the field. Taxpayers who don't mind paying your taxes and like Joe Biden consider it patriotic, I thank you.

For those of you who don't....well, I guess that maybe at least you can take those "Freedom isn't Free" bumper stickers off of your car, and stop being so damned hypocritical. Please stop asking my husband to go and fight an endless war, and when he expresses opposition to it, don't you dare call him a phony soldier.

8. This swabbie salutes you and your husband
and I greatly appreciate his service although I wish we had a competent commander in chief so your husband could be home most evenings. We are fortunate to have three commissaries and exchanges and two VA's (one being rebuilt thanks to Katrina) within 60 miles. It was sometimes difficult but I never regret raising my right hand a long, long time ago and anytime a puke conservative deserves it I play the Vet card much to their dismay.

11. Thank you for your sacrifice...
I'm sorry your husband's bravery was misused in such a heinous manner, and your trust and sacrifice for our country taken for granted. Best to you and your family, and I hope your husband is home soon... for good.

10. Although
I am a Navy Vet I do enjoy the services provided by Keesler AFB in Biloxi, about 60 miles away. I did a couple of joint tours with the AF back in the olden days.

14. That's a letter to the editor right there
I'm proud to help provide for our military personnel. :patriot:

Also our schools, our police officers, our firefighters, our needy, our sick, our elderly...

I'm not so keen on bailing out multi-billion dollar corporations, though. I guess I'm just an elitist.

17. I thought that I read somewhere that all of our federal taxes...
go towards interest on all of the worthless paper money the federal reserve keeps loaning us? Lets see, rich bankers start a banking system with nothing to back it, get The United States to sell out and borrow as much as they want so the powerful can continue with their agendas and we the tax payers pay it back? Doesn't make too much sense to me. Whoever all of these powerful people are thought of a great scam to takeover the world after their friends the Nazis couldn't do it with force.

I am happy to know that veterans do get something for their personal sacrifices but I am not sure where that money comes from.

20. A salute to you, Boss.
My apt. manager had Rush Limbaugh playing on the radio, and he was praising Palin's comment to the skies. Of course, he never served, so I guess his ignorance is excusable.:sarcasm:

Off to bleach my brain free of Rush's phonemes.
