Maxed-Out Moms
http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/20080918/us_time/maxedoutmoms

this is really depressing to think people in the USA could really be this stupid. I mean with all of the means of gettting information how could anyone still be saying shit like "I think he's a muslim".

1. I didn't read the article, but I bet it's based on polling done last week.

2. Hey- I've thought the American public was dumb as a f-ing rock for years. At least 25-50% of
'em, anyway. And btw, I feel your pain in OK. I noticed on the Yahoo composite poll page that OK has the 2nd-worst Obama percentage out of all reporting (at least 40) states, surpassed only by Utah (kind of surprising to me). My ex is from there, and is living there again, but she hates it too (the social/political climate).

3. Uneducated voters are the worst... they swing back and forth over every little thing...

They don't have the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions, so every little "gaffe" or "story-of-the-day" sways their opinions.

They are/were Bush's base.

Improve the education system in this country, and Republicans may never get elected again.

(which is why the GOP fights against REAL education reforms)

4. the key words are COLLEGE EDUCATION
Edited on Thu Sep-18-08 01:12 PM by maxsolomon
"non-college-educated white women are the ultimate swing voters and the ultimate late deciders," says Mary Beth Cahill, who was John Kerry's 2004 campaign manager. "They swing back and forth with every new piece of information."

if they "can't" educate themselves enough to know that Obama's not a muslim, then what's the key? be the last person to persuade them?

flibberdigibbet: an irresponsible, flighty person.
