I know it might not be conventional wisdom, but I think America will fall in love with Biden on 10/2

The CW is that Palin, just by showing up and not wetting herself, will come out ahead because the expectations for her are so low.... and that Biden, if he is tough on her AT ALL, will come out looking like a big meanie a la Rick Lazio against Hillary in 2000.

I don't think that's going to happen.

I think Joe will be folksy, but show an amazing command of the issues and will not go after Palin at all...he'll just go after McCain. He'll get all the funny lines, since he won't be "scripted" and will come off as genuine.

Palin will be so "prepped" for the debate that she'll be reading virtual cue cards in her head and look too rehearsed. Any funny lines that she has will be contrived and forced and apparent to everyone that they were written by someone else beforehand.

I think a lot of the LIV white women that flocked to McCain/Palin will be charmed by a very charming and intellectual and real guy like Joe Biden.

Just my take.
