I WAS WRONG!
I was passed by a flag waving car on the highway this morning.
I expected to see it covered in McCain bumper stickers and the like.

WRONG!

It was covered in VETERANS FOR OBAMA stickers instead!
Also a NEVER USE 9-11-01 homemade sign in the back window.
The driver waved out his window after passing me - he must have noticed my stickers as he passed.

OBAMA PEOPLE ROCK! :patriot:

1. People wave at us when they see our peace sticker on our car...
complete with 01.20.09 printed on it.

Liberals are so much friendlier as a whole.

6. Because we don't follow the "I got mine FU" policy.
And my sig line has nothing to do with that mentality.

2. Don't it make ya feel good?! I LOVE the "Never use 9/11/01" one.
Thanks for passing on that cheery incident. We've GOT THIS, America!

5. Usually I get the one finger salute, a few thumbs up now and then too.

I like the people who pass me, slam on the brakes to salute me, then speed off.

7. Yesterday, in Massachusetts, I saw a compact car with a McCain sticker
It was not a McCain/Palin sticker. Just said McCain.

I have a colleague at work who is a diehard Republican. Romney was his 1st choice but he settled for McCain. I couldn't get him to say if he supported Caribou Barbie, aka Sarah Palin. He's still voting for McCain for Prez though.

8. the day after McCain announced Palin
I was behind a guy and his daughter at the register at the local hardware store. (I was kinda watching these two because they did an *awkward wealthy suburban white folk fist bump*.) The cashier greeted them as she knew them and said, "So, what do you think of the new nominee?" Then she said to the girl, "I ask him because I know he's a conservative." The man stumbled a bit with "oh!" and "yeah!" and looked around in his wallet. I could just TELL he was looking for a way to say something positive although he had no freakin' idea who Sarah Palin was yet. Finally he came out with... "exciting! I think it's exciting!" I ALMOST felt bad for him. He knew his words were hollow. And you know what I'm thinking now looking back on that? He was...

PUTTING LIPSTICK ON THE UNKNOWN PIG

11. While I generally don't like flag waving, I do think it is time to
take that symbol back from the republicans. Our definition of patriotism is radically different from that of republicans. And I happen to believe that ours is the right one. We love our country without thinking that everything that is done in our name is right. We want to make our country the best it can be.

So, I may just get a flag decal to put right next to MY Veterans for Obama bumper sticker.

12. I was behind a pick-up days ago and noticed a bumper sticker with a huge flag.
An older man was driving - I just knew it was another "love it or leave it"-type message. I was wrong. It said:

"There is not a flag large enough to cover the innocent dead."
