Bush, just now: I will "console with my economic advisers."
Edited on Thu Sep-18-08 09:52 AM by krkaufman
Just heard Bush say this on CNN, LIVE, speaking on the financial crisis...

BUSH, 9/18: "I've canceled my travel today, to stay in Washington, where I will continue to closely monitor the situation in our financial markets and console with my economic advisers."

Can we please have this election and get this moron out of the White House.

:sarcasm:

But, when you're drunk and slurring your speech consult could definitely sound like console!

but then who knows what the hell he meant to say? Maybe "contend, commiserate?" Let's see how
his li'l blonde press robot Dana spins it. Hey, why doesn't she tip over from being so dizzy?

24. Yes, obviously that's what he was supposed to say.
But he's such an incurious, lazy boob that he couldn't be brought to make the effort to effectively communicate to a panicked public.

reassuring leader to prevent panic and keep us focused on the work we need to do to go forward.

Not.

No wonder they didn't let him speak on Tuesday.

38. Exactly. I expect we'll someday hear stories of Bush berating his staff ....
... during this crisis. Well, berating his staff when he bothered to do anything at all; but he's probably just going back to working out and planning some post-Presidency ranch construction in Paraguay.
