ok, mclame has been in the senate for ages. he has 72 years of life "experience", more than any president would have.
but in order for experience to be of value, you must have sought the right experiences; used those experiences to accumulate skills, lessons, wisdom, understandings, ideas, connections, etc.; and then you must be able to translate that non-material wealth into great ideas, actions, speeches, and leadership.
has mclame demonstrated ANY of this? or has he merely been "present" while life happened all around him?
he was one of the most corruptible and corrupted figures in the s&l debacle under the first bush. the lesson he learned was to pretend to be a "reformer". the hallmark of this was the mccain-feingold act, which has proven to be completely ineffective at removing the corrupting influence of money from campaigns. mclame himself is now circumventing the intent by taking free money from the federal government ($84mm) and is having the rnc supplement his campaign efforts to keep up with obama. of course, mccain-feingold banned "soft money", so the rnc can't explicitly coordinate with the mclame campaign regarding the spending of this money, but you know that is happening.
so if he can drive a truck through this giant hole in his own hallmark legislation, what does this tell us about his "experience"?
whatever experience he has, simply WOULD NOT TRANSLATE into useful presidential characteristics.
