Prevaricating Palin “Didn’t Hear A Word” That The “Hilarious” Tina Fey Said
September 18, 2008, 9:28 AM

From CBS News' Scott Conroy: http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/09/18/politics/fromtheroad/entry4457043.shtml

“I watched with the volume all the way down and I thought it was hilarious, she was spot on,” Palin said.

“It was hilarious. Again, I didn't hear a word she said, but the visual was spot on.”

2. That doesn't make a lick of sense besides contradicting what they already said.
Now she is starting to resemble John Lovitz more than she resembles Tina Fey.

3. As Keith Jackson would say, fumbullllllllllllll
Easy question, show a sense of humor about yourself and disarm those who are laughing at you.

Mistake.

4. Maybe she isn't lying this time. I don't see how this helps her.
Maybe she didn't feel like listening to someone imitating her.

10. She's past lying to help herself; she lies out of habit.

5. How many times is this story going to change? Jesus is this the diversion of the day for them?
First she loved it then she hated it then it was sexist now she didn't hear it then she loved it

7. Right. And she gave her daughters a vote on whether or not she should accept VP nod.
This is just stupid stuff to lie about which is why it's so disturbing. It paints a picture of a woman whose first instinct is to lie, no matter how trivial the issue.

16. She and 'The First Dude' should have gotten their stories straight
since he told Greta that the kids had no clue on where they were headed until after they got to the 'and heeeerrreee's Sarah' rally. Wouldn't they know if they had voted on it?

8. wait, what? I don't even get this....
first, her campaign was pushing that she watched it and thought it was hilarious, to show that she's a good sport...and then, she watched, but only with the volume down? To see how much her and Tina looked alike? I'm reading too much into it, but it just sounds a bit narcissistic.

9. Kids annoy each other...
...by repeating what the other kid said immediately after.

I could understand not wanting that sort of experience.

11. She watched. She can't take it.
Palin isn't a kid, she's a 44-year-old grandma.

She totally watched, and was royally pissed, and now she's humiliated and she's trotting out the "I don't care enough about that to bother with it" crap. Whatever. Pit bull to laughingstock in, oh, about 3 days.

14. fair enough.
I just don't really understand the point of watching at all, if she's going to watch with the volume down.
