Despite having a miserable cold along with some wicked back spasms.....in the immortal words of James Brown, OWWW! I FEEL GOOD!! The news coming out of the polls this morning is pretty dam refreshing.

I posted a couple weeks ago that I liked the position we were in at that time, when we were a few points behind McCain. I wanted it to be us who was in the lesser position after the conventions so WE would be the ones to come from behind, gain the momentum SLOWLY, and never look back. It seems that Obama is moving this campaign along at just the right tempo and the Palin bounce is becoming the Palin bust. If the lead we have right now starts increasing, and I think it will, then this could end up being a monstrous victory for us in November. Could.

While I have total faith in Obama with the way he's running his campaign so far, I know it won't be easy and we still have to keep pushing hard every day. If our campaign doesn't let up, I think there's a good chance we could open up a double digit lead within 2 or 3 weeks from now.

Fuck neo-conservatism. Your time is coming to an end, suckers! :smoke:

1. I don't. I find the economic crisis truly disturbing.
I'm glad that Obama's doing well, but the overall picture is pretty ugly.

2. Same here, Cali.
I don't think this is just an ordinary recession.

3. Jeesh, guys, doesn't this morning's news about Obama's polls in the swing states make you feel good?
Not only the swing states but overall numbers nationally?

Yeah, the economy sucks, but we already knew that before the collapse of the stock market. I feel good that the Obama campaign is turning the corner. Yeah.

4. I'm feeling damn good!
All my money is where it has always been--my pocket! I have a small savings, but I think it's important for the greed of the "deregulated market" to be exposed.

Great polls, we are owning the frame and the POW Camp!

9. Oww, me too!
and any money I have is the same place as yours, right in my pocket. Being self employed most of my life, I'm not about to put all of my hard earned money into the hands of others.

Gobama!!

15. Oh, I see.
You apparently believe you are immune from fallout of this economic crisis, and lack empathy for those who are not.

5. LOL . mtnsnake. You know better than to express any optimism.
Only optimism for McCain is allowed on this board.

7. I'm with you, mtn!
After depressing poll numbers and with a real fear for my husband's job, I'm getting more optimistic! Today is looking better on both fronts. We're still not out of the woods but the clearing is just ahead. We just have to hold on and keep positive!

Feel better, kiddo...

6. Then you should feel better knowing that our guy seems to be doing on the up and up...
The only way we are going to be in a position to repair our economy is with an Obama win. Partisan politics aside, I know who's judgement and knowledge I trust to deal with this situation and its not Mr. "I don't know much about the economy" McCain.

12. as I said clearly in the post you're responding to
I feel good about how Obama's doing. But if you think he'll be able to just fix the economy, I have a bridge in Alaska for you. This is a very, very serious situation. I'm not convinced there is a fix. Having said that, I certainly want Obama to be in the Oval Office to try.

13. Right because no one has been able to fix a broken economy before...
It may take 4 years or even 8 years, but the economy CAN be fixed and if Barack is the kind of leader I THINK he is, and that being someone that delegates the right people to the right job, then I think he has a shot of making the best out of this mess.

14. Between the polls and the markets
it's almost a wash. I'd call it a small net gain. :)

16. I feel good too!
I lost the 401k in 2002 and the house last year, all while hearing how great the economy was.
I knew then that I was invisible and no help would be coming. You can't fix a problem people refuse to see.
With Obama up in the polls I feel like better times have to be coming.I feel like I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel ,and this time I don't think its a train.
