9. Hey! I'm from the South, goddammit!
So don't call it Redneckistan... that sounds communist!

It's Rednecksburgh! Or maybe Redneckstaag.

If you are going to assign us a pejorative nick name, at least keep it in line with our true heritage!

19. While that sounds fun..
.. it'll be even more fun to hear my fellow southerners complaining about every slightly progressive/liberal thing that Obama does while he's in office.

Leave us in - and smile when you hear the ignorant yokels whining at the moon. :D

11. INDIANA: Obama three-point lead = 47 percent to 44 percent
Star/WTHR poll: It's close in Indiana
Poll finds Obama has a fragile edge on McCain, 47% to 44%
Bill Ruthhart and Tim Evans - Sept 17, 2008 - http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080917/NEWS0502/80917076

Sen. Barack Obama holds a tenuous lead over Sen. John McCain in Indiana, with one in four likely voters saying they could change their mind on who to support for president, according to a new Indianapolis Star-WTHR (Channel 13) poll.

Obama's three-point lead in the poll, 47 percent to 44 percent, reinforces Indiana's status as a battleground in the race for the White House.

12. CBS/NYT Poll: Obama Jumps Back To Five-Point Lead & RACE UNDECIDED
CBS/NYT Poll: Obama Jumps Back To Five-Point Lead
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/09/17/opinion/polls/main4456249.shtml

CBS News/New York Times Poll Shows Obama With 5 Point Advantage, Voters Concern Over Palin

Sept. 17, 2008 - In a sign that John McCain's convention bounce has dissipated, Barack Obama has taken a 48 percent to 43 percent lead over his Republican rival among registered voters in the latest CBS News/New York Times poll.

McCain had a two percentage point lead among registered voters in a CBS News poll released on September 8th, just after the Republican National Convention. Prior to the party conventions, Obama led McCain by 3 points.

In the new poll, the gap among likely voters is the same as it is among registered voters: Obama leads among those seen as likely to go to the polls in November 49 percent to 44 percent.

This race remains up for grabs. One-fourth of the electorate is now uncommitted, meaning they say they could still change their minds about their candidate or remain undecided entirely. Roughly twenty percent of both McCain and Obama supporters say they have not yet settled definitively on their chosen candidate. ....................

--------------
Eric Kleefeld - September 17, 2008 - http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/09/cbsnyt_poll_obama_jumps_back_t.php

It looks like the McCain bounce is officially over.

Here are the numbers from new CBS/New York Times poll: Among registered voters, Obama leads 48%-43%, with a margin of error of ±3%. Among likely voters, Obama is ahead 49%-44%. Last week, McCain's post-convention helped him get a 46%-44% lead among registered voters -- but not anymore.

The economy seems to have really damaged McCain.

14. CNN = Polls: McCain, Obama tied in 5 battleground states = TELEPHONE POLL
Polls: McCain, Obama tied in 5 battleground states
Paul Steinhauser
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/17/battleground.poll/index.html

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- New polls in five battleground states that could decide the presidency suggest the fight for the White House between Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama remains a dead heat.

The CNN/Time Magazine/Opinion Research Corp. polls out Wednesday indicate the race for Florida and its 27 electoral votes is tied.

....

The poll shows a tight race for Ohio and its 20 electoral votes. The new survey suggests that 49 percent of registered voters in Ohio back Obama and 47 percent support McCain.

A CNN poll of polls in Ohio, also out Wednesday, gives McCain a 3-point lead, 48-45 percent. The poll of polls is an average of the latest public opinion surveys in the state.

....

The poll suggests Obama is staying competitive in two red states that his campaign is trying to turn blue.

In North Carolina, which Bush won by 12 points in the last presidential election, the poll indicates that 47 percent of registered voters back Obama.....

....

In the poll, 907 registered voters in Florida, 890 registered voters in Indiana, 910 registered voters in North Carolina, 913 registered voters in Ohio and 950 registered votes in Wisconsin were questioned by telephone.

18. Yup, and look at Biden, the lowest unfavorbility rating of all of them
so much for Phalin being the great VP pick. Looks like more people like Biden now. I mean, whats not to like? Obama's ratings are excellent as well. Dropping like a lead balloon, McPhalin.
