Idiotic LTTE from the Columbus Dispatch: Obama is a Muslim!
Palin better choice than even Obama
(Columbus Dispatch, September 18, 2008)

I respond to the Sept. 3 letter "McCain picked Palin out of desperation," from Greg Ward. Sarah Palin is governor of Alaska, and she's proud to be an American.

And what does Arizona Sen. John McCain's skin cancer have to do with anything? Has Obama ever been a governor, a mayor? No, just a short-time senator.

He reads from the teleprompter, vacations in Europe, goes to cocktail parties and hangs around with some not-so-appealing people.

And if he says he's not affiliated with Muslims and is not a Muslim, why was his "day off" on the first day of Ramadan?

CAROL JEWELL
Columbus

What a load of stupid! This is what happens when you get all of your information from Fox "News" and Rush Limbaugh.

1. The letter itself doesn't bother me, because there are just plain stupid
people out there. What bothers me is that the paper would choose that letter to publish, knowing that the Muslim stuff is an outright lie. What kind of paper willfully prints things they know are lies?

2. The Dispatch was fishwrap 40 years ago when I lived in Ohio
And it has gone downhill from that point since then from what my mother and friends tell me.

3. McPalin isn't a "Proud American" ... she welcomed the people who wanted
to secede from the U.S. ...

If Obama is eviscerated for having known a person who decades ago was part of a group, why isn't Palin held to the same standard for having warmly embraced a secessionist group?

4. What does McCain's skin cancer have to with anything? Carol, please don't vote.
McCain's had every kind of melanoma you can have, and if he has a recurrence, he may need severe chemotherapy that would incapacitate him as president. So the man doesn't even have to die for Palin to get the reins to the country.

Yeesh.

5. The Dispatch never should have published that letter
But they are helping to spread the "Obama is a Muslim" lie and
darn well know it.
