Anonymous Hacker Group? Who are these guys? Palin's Email Hacked
Edited on Thu Sep-18-08 02:34 AM by deadlyaj
Fox News is already saying liberal thugs broke into Sarah Palin's email.

This is just the tip of the iceberg I think we'll be seeing alot more of this inbox/outbox over the next few weeks. Anonymous loves to start trouble but I havent heard of any politcal affiliation just them hating on scientology.

13. LOL? Are you referring to the Habbo raids?
I'm not even sure how that arose but it's kinda ironic that a lot of the Internet memes that get so popular originate from Anonymous.

Just take the LOLCATs phenomenon which arose from 4chan, an Anonymous stronghold.

4. it's 4chan. they are not "liberal". mostly known for the attacks on Scientology and furry porn =D
and all somebody did was apparently figure out her password was her daughter's name or such.

8. It's crazy easy to get a password retrieval from Yahoo
I won't say how but the process is easy. Some /b/ probably just went through the steps using public information.

I sincerely do not believe this was some GOP plot. It was /b/ trolling for drama and lulz.

9. It wasn't actually Anonymous...
I was able to read the post of the alleged hacker claiming responsibility over at 4chan before the site removed the thread. It was just a person who frequents 4chan (a site loosely tied to Anonymous) who thought it would be "cool" to try hacking Palin's account to see if he could find any incriminating evidence. He described the method of how he hacked her account. He claimed he looked through all her emails and found nothing of real interest except for family photos and some governor-related business memos. He began posting screenshots of what he found on 4chan. Apparently the reality of what he had done came crashing down on him when there was a large response to these posts. He got scared and posted Palin's email password on their forums and people had a field day with it until another conscientious 4chan visitor logged in to the account, changed the password, and informed one of Palin's contacts of the new password.

Assuming the post I read from 4chan is true (guessing it might be since it was removed so quickly) - this really has nothing to do with Anonymous. It was just a stupid kid doing stupid things.

10. The Original "hacker" is one of Tracks friends from school. An alaska do nothing., probably knew
the password for sometime and decided to act cool like he "hacked" it.

Was probably on a piece of paper around the home or something.

14. Makes ya wonder if this is revenge from one of her kids/family member
Let's see...Track for being put in the spotlight for his "patriotic duty" entering the military..til it surfaces all over the 'net and the Nat'l Enquirer about his criminal record

Bristol...who I am sure just LOVED the thought of being paraded around that first weekend while being told "Use Trig to HIDE you stomach from the public"

Levi...about that shotgun wedding, gov

And that is just what WE are seeing. Imagine the behind the scenes dynamics

There is no telling.

12. They're terrorists that blow up vans-- don't forget that!
:eyes:

Seriously though, they just hate on "the man." A lot of them do stuff just for kicks. Of course, they can be considered anarchist because they have no leaders-- it's all basically one huge ass flash mob made possible by the Internet.

This Palin hacking thing probably happened organically with a few people just randomly thinking it was a good idea. This is why it's a crap shoot whether or not what Anonymous does is effective or not, legal or illegal, moral or immoral. They're literally a Frankensteinian monster group.

For me, Anonymous is a very interesting portrayal of the depths and heights that people can go to with the help of the Internet.

This is right out of Rove's playbook.
