Sign of optimism?

I know a lot of people here don't like Jim Cramer (the "Mad Money" guy).

But more than a year ago, he angrily predicted the events of the past few days (and months) with respect to the large banking institutions, the sub-prime loans, all of it.

This morning on MSNBC, he said that there would be two more high profile companies going under.... and then we would see things start to stabilize in a couple months, and by next year at this time, we'd be on our way out of it.

I'm guessing one of the two companies is WaMu (Washington Mutual).... but I have no idea of the other one.

In any case... if he is correct.... and his track record is impeccable.... then things won't start to get better until AFTER the election (good news for Obama) and then during the first six months of Obama's presidency, the economy will do very well.

Either Jim Cramer thinks Obama is going to win (and therefore things will get better) .... or he thinks Obama is about to become the luckiest S.O.B. on the planet and walk into a good situation.

Either way.... It made *ME* feel better.

2. A stopped clock is right twice a day....
I would take anything Cramer says with a grain of salt.

3. Jim Cramer?
I am glad you find him soothing, I find the man scary.

I think there will be more big business corpses piled up before the end of the year than 2. Too much expensive "toxic waste" out there.
