For the first time in a month I am very very happy with the Obama campaign
I am glad that they are finally hitting McCain on the economy.

I am glad that they are finally taking charge of this presidential campaign.

I am glad theat they are not being shy about putting out very tough ads.

I am excited to see Joe Biden is all fired up.

This is starting to show in the polls folks. I know I was very critical of the Obama campaign and how they were directing their message. I guess Axelrod and Plouffe have proved that I was an idiot. :)

So here is to Axelrod, Plouffe, and to the many millions of Americans who own this campaign!!! :toast:

12. Watch the response from europeans when Obama is elected, unlike
when Bush stole the election and europeans asked in front pages; " America, how could you have gotten it so wrong".

5. after reading Ch. 2 of "The Audacity of Hope" again the other night...
.... well, I have the audio book so I was listening to it ..... I'm convinced he wont sling mud to win the campaign unless he's run out of other options .... sorry I cant give you a page reference but it's near the end of the chapter where he talks about how the vile way the Republicans have won the last two presidential elections is something the Democratic party should never adopt .... I suppose if it came down to it, he would, but I am convinced that he'd rather win by a small margin and do it right, then compromise his principles.

It's the cool headed, wait and see approach that I look forward to running the country for the next 8 years.

6. I'm going on record as someone who asked people to be patient.....
Obama isn't street fighting, it's a different kind of strategy that involves just watching and waiting for the right moments. "Jujitsu Politics", using the opponents mass and momentum to your advantage.

7. Yeah but he was saved by the disaster in the markets and one should never

hope for that.

I for one am VERY HAPPY that he is aggressive now. I don't think he needed to wait for the economy to turn to start being on the offensive and I do think if he had done it earlier, he would have saved us some grief and heartburn.

13. WTF are you talking about? "Saved"? It was inevetable.
He just grabbed the opportunity as he should have. When elections get tight like this you look for smart opportunities and ride out the rough bits. You don't expend everything you got on one crackshot.

That's what Hillary did and look where it got her (see Super Tuesday).

9. The real payoff is still to come. The big tidal wave of support come Oct. 31st - Nov 4th.
That's where all of our money has been going to. Building an army and an infrastructure.

Obama's ads are now coming on strong because the base work has been done.

11. Why waste efforts, money, and willpower during a guaranteed bump? You ride out the wave...
...and jump on the best opportunity!
