Palin family meeting

I heard briefly on Countdown that Sarah Palin apparently says in her Hannity interview that they had a family meeting before she decided to accept the VP slot. Obviously that is different than her "didn't blink" answer to Gibson, but at the time she was selected, didn't she also say that one of the ways they kept her selection secret was to not tell her kids why they were going to Ohio- telling them only that they were going on a trip? Maybe I am wrong but I am pretty sure I heard that said at the time. If they had already had a family meeting about it, the ruse about going to Dayton seems, well, implausible.
