I Think Texas May Go Blue (FEMA Failing In Wake of Hurricane Ike)
Just saw on Olbermann that Much of the Texas coast is still without power and utilities and little-to-no resources. And FEMA is nowhere to be found. Truckers are sitting idle at the cost of $800 per day per trucker who have actually been abandon themselves and are eating Army Rations / MREs for food.

It was only covered briefly on KO, but for God's sake, it's been a WEEK now. What the hell is going on? Bush is hiding from the Financial crisis and the people of Texas need help!

W.T.F!

2. (facepalm) No, it won't.
It's something to work towards, but that particular goal won't be achieved for a loooong time.

10. "Just Texas?!?"
Them's fightin' words. Texas is "just Texas" in the same way that Chicago is "just Chicago."

8. Over/under: How many times will that have to be debunked, before people stop saying it?

13. You misunderestimate people
I put it at Many. Perhaps one could consider it as inverse to Barr's chances of winning his lawsuit.

7. Guess that could explain the "Barr factor"
i.e. his attempt to kick both Obama and McCrazy off the Texas ballot.

9. If they don't they are stupid. They watched the epic failure of
FEMA to respond to their neighbor to the east, now they get to experience it firsthand for themselves. We have weak leadership created by wicked greedy people and we all suffer their ineptness. If the second time around does not wake them up, nothing will.

11. Texas will be blue
But not this cycle. With demographic trends, Texas looks to be a Democratic stronghold possibly by 2020.

17. Ike will only affect the coastal vote, but
where are those people going to vote? I hope Dems down there are helping survivors get absentee ballot requests. The rest of the state will stay red 'cause all they care about are taxes, illegals, abortion, gays & guns.
