McCain always have her there. She doesn't campaign on her own. It's very strange. Why does he need his wife there all the time? What are they hiding? Perhaps he needs support and propping up or perhaps her drug addiction continues and she can't go out on her own. :shrug:

9. I'd take it as a throwback

to earlier campaigning. The wives have not that commonly gone off and campaigned on their own until fairly recently. I'm not sure Rosalynn Carter ever campaigned on her own. I'm pretty sure Nancy Reagan didn't, and I don't think Barbara Bush ever did. If they did, it would have been at very limited and safe venues.
