Unless you make over $250,000 - there is no reason to even consider voting republican.

there are a good number of people who are right-to-lifers and believe mccain can have an impact on SCOTUS so as to overturn Roe.

I think it is very foolish to look down on the religious beliefs of anyone - and particularly to call them "ignorant fools".

5. Respect the right of conscience...

Beliefs, though, are fair game! As Jefferson said "Question with boldness even the existence of a God, for if there be one he must more approve of the homage of reason than of blindfolded fear." Or, as someone else once said, we have a right to our own opinions, but not to our own facts.

I am questioning the OPs view of anyone disagreeing as an "ignorant fool". I doubt Jefferson would have agreed with that.

10. Yes, some of them are definitely ignorant

especially the ones who think they should vote for Palin because she is a "hockey mom" and just like them. But to give some of them the benefit of the doubt, I would say at the very least they are close-minded:
- If they are pro-life, then the torturing and needless war should be upsetting to them.
- If they care about our country's image in the world, they would think twice about McCain.
- If they care about our planet, then the environmental destruction that McCain plans to continue should give them pause.
- If they make over $250,000 a year and greedily want to keep the tax burden on the lower-income people rather than themselves, then they have short memories of the Clinton years, when a slight increase in tax rates for over $250,000 meant prosperity for all income classes.
-If they can't make the connection between Republican economic policies and the bankruptcy of Enron plus what's going on now, and if they can't see that their own prosperity will be ultimately be diminished if the middle class continues to fade away along with increased unemployment and mortgage foreclosures, then they definitely have poor reasoning skills.
