Diageo Hotline Poll: Obama 46% McCain 42%
http://www.diageohotlinepoll.com/documents/diageohotlinepoll/DiageoHotlineTracker091608data.pdf

It had been Obama 44% to McCain 43%.

It appears that McCain had a bad day of polling yesterday.

1. Ya think?
Nice. Hopefully Obama will pull ahead in all polls and the media will start picking on McCain more, talking about how he blew his convention bounce and Palin advantage.

5. I think so. I hope so. But it might take a solid 5 pt lead in all polls for that to happen.
Hell, he had a solid 5 pt lead before and they were just asking "Why isn't Obama ahead by MORE?"

6. Yeah they were assholes when that was the case.
There was also an obvious answer to that: his race caps his support in certain areas. That's a sad fact, but it is true.

8. I even heard somebody say it today: In this climate, why isn't he up by 20%?!
Up by 20% is a straw man. They keep saying 15-20% as though that were even possible. In the United States today, Mother Theresa could be running against Hitler, and she'd still only be up by 15%.

3. KICK! The only difference in these polls is how they're weighted.
The trend is clearly pro-Obama right now.
