2. So sorry to hear that.
I work with a teacher whose son is on his second tour in Iraq. She has American flags and pictures of bush all over her office. When I said, "Well maybe the war will be over by then," she replied, "It will never be over." She honestly believes the propaganda that if we don't fight them over there, we will fight them over here.

Poor deluded soul. I didn't argue with her... just said a prayer for her son.

Sending a  and a prayer to your friend and her husband.

she has no family here and was so unhappy the last time. She said it was our keeping her busy the last time that helped her through

4. Is he active duty? My husband is in Iraq right now. I feel so bad for
her. It's our nine year anniversary today too. It is just so hard. On the plus side, I went to the military grocery store today and I saw 3 Obama stickers besides my own, and one soldier pointed to my sticker "Veterans for Obama" and gave me a thumbs up and a big grin! Tell her that whenever anyone says that McCain is more pro-military than Obama, she needs to bring up the Webb/Hagel GI bill that Bush/McCain said was too generous. When McCain's watered down version got shot down, and the original bill was brought up for vote, McCain didn't bother to show up to vote for it. He didn't want Guard or Reserve to be eligible for the benefits in that bill either.

I'm sorry you can't be with your husband. How often do you get to talk to him?

8. I post on Yahoo answers occasionally and
have a blurb saved for the "Who are you voting for?" questions on there:

"This veteran with a child in the service is voting for Obama. Just say no to another neocon! "

Have your friend (and any of you others with loved ones in) check out MFSO - Military Families Speak Out.

10. I don't know if she is aware of this but, Obama is constantly talking about military families
being left behind and the burden they face everyday. He understands the sorrow they are feeling with their loved ones having to spend as much time away from their families and their homes.

I hope she decides to vote for Barack, he's her best chance of getting her husband back.
