The tide is turning again for Obama..

Keeping up with realclearpolitics.com/polls/ McCain's bump is almost gone. This time last week McCain was up in all the polls over Obama. Now McCain is only up by an average of 2 points and some polls have Obama ahead..
So, again Obama has the momentum with several weeks to go and only 2 points down..

Also, yesterday an Obama spokesman says Palin has a "growing pattern of deception." Campaign manager David Plouffe outlined a more aggressive campaign against McCain. "Biden will be integral to that effort, both in pushing back on the lies that we'll continue to see from our opponents and in keeping the debate focused on delivering for everyday Americans," he said.

Biden spokesman David Wade said the Delaware senator will be "Mr. October."

"He's a closer," Wade said. "He's the vice presidential nominee you want slugging it out in the late innings when proven campaign skills, intestinal fortitude, expertise and experience matter most."

So, Biden will take roll in pointing out McCain camp lies while also pointing out McCain's problem on issues. Leaving Obama to campaign on where he wants to take this country.
2 points down, the media is starting to see Palin for what she is, a gimmick. And Obama/Biden have let McPalin lie, lie, lie, and lie some more. Now they have a huge case to lay out aginst them.. It is time to draw blood.

I feel totally comfortable Obama will win..

1. I think he'll win, too.
When I look at the big picture, I'm filled with confidence. When I start focusing on individual polls, editorials, pundit wisdom, then I start getting nervous.

2. I don't know about you but I've started hitting back
Hitting "reply all" instead of deleting. Telling people who repeat the "community organizer" memes to fuck off rather than ignoring them. Telling them exactly what I think of them since they choose to vote for a pair of soulless lying bastards.

"Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose." The stakes are too high. I'm done with being "nice."

6. Me too.
And I've started copy/pasting all email addresses and sending stuff to them - every article I get that exposes another McCain or Repub lie. I don't give a shit anymore if they complain. Having put up with their crap for 12-15 years is long enough.

7. Yep, I'm even being more assertive in real life...

...when I used to be generally pretty apolitical with co-workers and others, now I'm just telling it like it is.

It's a simple argument: You want Republicans yet again running this government into the ground for four more years!?!?! You really do?

3. Yes. Obama/Biden is emerging clearly, clearly, clearly as the enduring
ticket -- a partnership of citizenship and purpose -- while McCain is conducting a sleazefest.

I bet the fundie nutbag churches make no mention in the coming weeks of Gov. Palin's aerial slaughter of wolves. I think their fundie kids should know about that when they ask their parents why they're voting for McCain and Palin.

If someone were to invite Joe Biden to shoot wolves from an airplane it is my firm hunch that they would be turned down.

4. It's a microcosm of the problem. When the going gets tough....
DUers just sit and whine.

8. It also seems that the media have not had free access to McAncient,
as they once had. He's creating a bubble around himself, and the press does not like this. I also don't like the fact that both he and his running mate have trashed the press more than once. The press are getting teed off, and therefore starting to do their job.

9. Just to add my two cents…
A few years ago I had to sue our school district. The attorney I hired frustrated me no end. We would go to the hearings and the representatives from the school district would lie, lie and lie some more, but my attorney would lean back in his chair and say nothing. When deadlines were almost expired for the school district to do testing on my son, my attorney would let the deadline pass. He would tell me these things take time and just to be patient. Long story short -- the last hearing we had, my attorney came loaded for bear. Every unanswered lie and every slipped deadline was part of a strategy. We got everything we wanted for our son and much more.

I strongly believe this is the strategy Obama is using. Don't get me wrong, I get frustrated with the campaign, too. But this all motivates me to actually DO something for the campaign than just donate money. I've found several events in my community to which I'll volunteer some time. I'm not just trying to get Obama elected, I'm fighting for my son's future.

10. A great story.....I think that is what is going on as well, Obama is not playing the game like they
wanted him to and they are furiously attempting to set new rules but its too late..they lost...and its pretty obvious at least to me that they know it ....

is today. what i hear, what i read.... it sounds good to me. i dont know how many are people trying to make du'ers look foolish. or how many are remembering back to kerry and knowing he had it, only to have it stolen. my position is theft.... not the american people, obama's campaign, but getting enough people out to beat the theft....
