Canvassed in pouring rain today--reporting 100% pro-Obama in my sample today!!! In Indiana!!!
I walked to around 20 houses today. Many not homes but I contacted 10 people and they were ALL pro-Obama!!! Two were Republicans. There were some not even on the list of a person I canvassed who had moved. They were all pro-Obama!!! There was not ONE McCain or undecided today!!! I'm having a really good day!

6. Unreal! Very good news.
I remember when I phone banked for Dean, and then Kerry. For Dean, found one single person out of every 50 calls. For Kerry, it was maybe 35-40%.

7. Cool! I think that Rove saying that McCain had
gone over the line with those two ads was a signal to him that what he's doing isn't working. Good job for going on out there!

:)

11. Lots of determination today!
I was out registering voters, and got exactly ONE Republican comment "You working for Palin/McCain? Ha ha ha" (seriously - Palin THEN McCain). I said "yeah, because the GOP is really big on registering voters!" He even laughed.

One guy yelled "Hey, you're not one of those evil 'community organizers' are you?"

I'm pretty sure it was meant as a joke.

Lots and lots of 'thumbs up' from folks. Lots of verbal support from AA voters (who knew damned well the GOP wasn't out there registering people) One nice lady said "how come they're not throwing you out of here - they told me I couldn't solicit?" I wanted to say 'IOKIYW', but I didn't know her well enough. Instead, I said "I didn't get permission first."

Two highlights: a nice lady who WORKED at the market, who stomped up to me and said "what are you doing here, anyway?" and when I told her, she said "I'd like to register." She didn't know what to put down for her party. I said "well, if you don't register a party, you can't vote in the primary." "Well, I'd like to register Republican, but can I change my vote when I get to the polling place?" All I could say was "uh...yes you can".

She thought about it a while, and then checked "undeclared". "And can I have one of those forms for my husband?"

But the ones that were already registered (and I should note my county is about 52/48 D/R, up from about 30/70 D/R just a few years ago) were ANGRY. "You're damned right I'm registered. This is the most important vote I'll ever cast." (this from a woman wearing a peace symbol necklace.) "Can you please give me one of those for my daughter who is in college? She keeps sending me pro-Obama email and I keep saying 'doesn't help if you're not registered'." Lots and lots of comments like "how could you not be, with everything going on?"

And I'll swap you 95 degrees and very, very humid for rain, IN DEM.

And can we all thank you for injecting some realism into the debate? People are pissed. Some low-information voters might have been interested in the shiny thing a week ago, but the people who will actually show up and vote are pissed off. So thanks for your post!!!!
