McCain's people are too pushy and Obama's people can't stand up to them...
It seems everytime I am watching a yell and shout show on the cable, the shouting and yelling is coming mostly from the McCain supprters. Meek, polite answers from the Obama supporters.

Why is it that the democrats always bring a knife to a gun fight.

The GOP sticks to talking points and just hammers, hammers, hammers...

1. Dems are naturally ethical and fair (which is partly why they're Dems)...
Republicans are on a mission ~ a whole other thing.

11. Dems could easily do the talking points thing, though. Have pre-digested soundbites on every issues
that they repeat ad naseum just the same way the Repubs do.

13. I think Dems need to decide that we're on a mission too - and take it as seriously as...
...life and death ~ because it is that serious.

2. I think all of us would make better surrogates than some of these idiotic
Democrats who sit by wayyy too meekly and let the Republican out-shout them with lies.

3. Rovian Republicans are willing to go on the attack first......
and that put the Dems in the defensive position.

5. I find it extremely frustrating.
I'd like to have at them myself!

The GOP is about as subtle as a steam roller, damn it.

And we just pussy-foot around, afraid of our own shadows.

7. Give an example. Describe a show you watched. Your generalizations seem false
so specify so we can discuss or it is a waste of time.

14. The only reason I am here posting and not out campaigning is because I
have been hit by a devastating illness. What's your excuse.

I have been on the front lines of the battle for the last 25 years. I have been a candidate, been on almost every local political show, spoke for the democratic party on many occasions and served our party in many paid and volunteer capacities. I have also ran several successful local campaigns.

Excuse me if I sense a little bit of hand wringing on the part of the spokes people representing "our" party, not just Obama.

They aren't tough enough. They come off weak and more times than not let the GOP person talk over them more often than not. That sends a message, my friend, to the people, right of wrong, that if they can't stand up to a partisan blowhard, how are they going to stand up for me?

It's simple. You have to be strong, concise and forthright in your presentation.

If you haven't learned that from watching the country slide toward the right over the last 25 years or so then you really haven't learned anything.

The example that set me off today was the two women who were talking about foreign policy with Wolf. The republican woman was laughing, had a smirk on her face and interrupted the democratic spokesperson continually. The woman on our side never said boo during all the false accusations being hurled by the Republican.

The same thing happened earlier when there were two people talking about domestic issues.

10. it's vague on purpose
that way, this same criticism can be used no matter what Obama does.

If the demands were specified, then Obama could possibly satisfy them, and we can't have that can we.

15. Bull shit....
It was two times this morning on Wolf's show.

Our side was meak and mild compared to the aggressive banter being tossed out by the GOP.

8. What was being said?
Were we addressing issues and countering what they said? Were they just repeating the same old shit?

Yes, they yell, but it's content is what is ultimately heard.

16. The content is never heard if the message is over shouted.
