ad "wondering" whether McCain cares about protecting kindergarten kids from sexual predators.

I agree that with Sarah Palin, the Republicans have moved to a culture war - where they always win - and away from the issues.

So here is another suggestion: show an image of black slaves with a comment: this is our past. Then show a proud Obama surrounded by adoring crowds with a comment: this is our future.

One more: show the two Palins together with a comment: who has really been running Alaska government? Sarah, or her husband?

1. Agreed, and ya know what pisses me off...
We knew this was going to happen. The thugs do it every election cycle. I don't know why people thought McCain was going to be any different. We need to get in the gutter, now. It sucks that we have to resort to that but this is a blood sport.

Now we have to shoot with both barrels.

But I would let a campaign run something like that with a focus group.

4. Bingo! I'd much rather hear "silent Todd" interviewed than Sarah. I bet we
would find out a whole lot about her "views" from him.

5. Charlie Gibson should have asked about him
From a NYT story

When Ms. Palin had to cut her first state budget, she avoided the legion of frustrated legislators and mayors. Instead, she huddled with her budget director and her husband, Todd, an oil field worker who is not a state employee, and vetoed millions of dollars of legislative projects.
