1. There are alot of polls out there now...
where you can say WTF!

Obviously McCain's lies are helping him and the media and Obama cannot stop it.

12. I did that 2 years ago...
but they kept sending the same stupid shit...the "silverware" survey...who gives a fuck about silverware...then at the bottom would be 2 questions that mattered...

I blocked them.

16. Yeah, it was...
like which Oneida silverware pattern do you prefer...I was like HUH? WTF?

It was really stupid. Mine also included one question that was always on it; do you shop at Wal-mart. I always said no. :-)

3. Those are not POLLS!
Dammit, how many times do I have to tell people that those are internet surveys.

They are invalid as statistical estimators.

4. I don't trust Zogby Interactive Polls. They're web polls.
It's like when a newspaper website let's its readers click to vote in a poll.

24. The one I do is not like that
I signed up and they email me and ask me to participate. You can't just go to their website and fill it out. I have also tried sending it to friends but they can't do it. So I gather it needs to be accessed via my email address?

6. Zogby shows Obama/Biden in the lead with EV votes and seriously
Edited on Sun Sep-14-08 09:42 AM by Kdillard
they are unreliable. We need to be concentrating on voter registration and voter fraud. Those are the things which will win this election not Zogby.

10. I Quit Zogby
I was part of their polling in 2004...more out of the interest of how the polls were being conducted. I have a background on research and know how polls can and are manipulated. Every poll I got always asked demographic questions, including income and religion. For kicks I would play around with those questions and I would get a different kind of poll the next time. For example, if I said I earned more than $100k a year, I'd get a poll the next time about which bank I prefered using and what type of stocks I was holding. When I chose $50k, I got asked if I was a NASCAR fan and how often I shopped at Wal-Mart. In my world this was known as using polling to answer questions rather than to learn from.

These polls are easily manipulated as there is no verification other than an IP address, and then it would be easy for a political operative to participate at work and then at home. Zogby lost a lot of credibility in '04 with missing several key races and have been outliers for the primaries and into this election season.

11. Zogby has Obama up in NC but trailing in PA.?
I'm not as suspicious as some about the polls, I think the trend toward McCain is real, but several of these Zogby polls make no sense and are at odds with other polls.

So even if they have Obama ahead, don't trust these particular polls.
