Is this part of the dumb-ing down of America? The USA's headlong plunge into making the movie "Idiocracy" a reality?
When I hear an "average Mom" being interviewed on the news at a Palin rally, and she says "wouldn't it be nice to have someone like me in the White House" I shudder. That somehow, if Palin was there, then the average Mom would be represented? Is that what these loons think?
Apparently they are forgetting an important factor:
Namely that McCain's Republican handlers will pick his cabinet for him which is sure to be dominated by, like all other recent Republican cabinets, corporate CEO's and other cronies who's vested interest is pushing our government into serving their wealthy special interests. These would include, but are not limited to, weakening rules and regulations that protect health and environment, slacking off on public safety requirements, funneling tax dollars to those in the top tier, further weakening of trade and labor laws to favor outsourcing of jobs, and much more.
It is a fact that when Republicans are in the White House they appoint this type of mentality to cabinet positions at an exponential rate over who the Democratic Party appoints. Democrats appoint far more public service oriented people to cabinet positions. It's not even close.
Something for "hockey Mom's" to think about before they get all gooey with feelings towards Palin.
