Issues. Obama is Better For You.

I am convinced that the Dems need to take back control and frame the debate around the Issues.

We are on the side of the American People. We need to hammer the message that a vote for mccain is a vote AGAINST your self -interest. He is bad for you wallet, bad for your environment, bad for you job, bad for your peace.

Obama's tax plan will put more money in your pocket than mccains, unless you make $500,000+ a year. If you are a student, Obama is better for you. If you are elderly, Obama is better for you. If you are a woman, Obama is better for you. If you are unemployed, Obama is better for you. If you are a veteran or a soldier, Obama is better for you. If you are an environmentalist or a worker or a stay at home parent, Obama is better for you.

If you love America, Obama is better for you.

1. Did you read the post about the Swift Boaters getting ready to come after Obama? Were you in the US

during 2004? Honestly, what on EARTH leads you to believe that this will be won or lost on the issues? I will agree that issues are important...TO ME. But the ugly truth is that they are not that important to a lot of people. A lot of people vote AGAINST a candidate. Probably more than actually vote FOR a candidate. And they vote for visceral, gut reasons. And the best way to get to the gut? FEAR. We may not like it, but it is true.

When we get bogged down in the personality argument it is too easy to be distorted.

I am saying the frame needs to be the prospect of mccain needs to terrify you. He is fatally bad for this country. By all means be mean, hard and nasty. But, frame it in terms of why Obama is good for you.
