McCain "Disrespectful" ad Conjures up Images of the worse kind if Racism
"Obama was disrespecting Palin", Ad

McCain is really crossing the line with his latest racially charged ad,
IMO and here's why,

When I heard it, it instantly brought to mind what happen to Emmitt Till

Emmitt Till, was young black man, visiting relatives down south. Emmitt didn't understand the racial divide between whites and blacks because he was from the North. Trying to show his cousins that he wasn't afraid of whites. He looked at a white woman and said "bye baby".

Later on in the week, two white men, came to Emmitt's Uncle's home and took Emmitt from his family.
He was never seen alive again.

The white men were tried and found innocent of any wrong doing. Shortly after the trial had ended the two white men proudly told the world on camera how and why they killed Emmitt Till. They were paid $4,000.00 for their story.

They said, "Bryant admitted to journalist William Bradford Huie that he and his brother had killed Till. Milam claimed that initially their intention was to scare Till into line by pistol-whipping him and threatening to throw him off a cliff. Milam explained that contrary to expectations, regardless of what they did to Till, he never showed any fear, never seemed to believe they would really kill him, and maintained a defiant attitude towards them concerning his actions. Thus the brothers said they felt they were left with no choice but to fully make an example of Till, and they killed him."

Emmitt Till was killed for being disrespectful to a white woman. McCain's ad is playing on that same racial hatred. Sadly as late as 2007 the evidence of that racial hate was shone to be alive and well, "In 2006 a Mississippi historical marker marking the place of Till's death was defaced, and in August 2007 it went missing."

It sickens me and scares me half to death that no one in the media is calling McCain out on this AD

4. Yes it does. Just like Uppity and Angry * man does. But Mccain is a dishonorable man
capable of dishonorable actions. The lobbyist commercial hits hard but I'd love to see more ads that chip away at Mccain's honorable facade.

There is nothing honorable about Mccain, nothing.

5. Thank you for posting that Heather.
I had heard of Emmitt Till before this year but never realized that whole sickening thing only happened 15 years before I was born. Emmitt's brave mom just passed away in 2003. Watching Republicans exploit these not-so-old scars on the American psyche is disgusting.

That is so sad about his grave marker.

6. Vandilizing his marker just last year is the greatest proof that McCain
KNOWS he is playing not on this fear but Racial Anger.

And for that I hate him. sadly I use to have a lot of respect for McCain, when he seemed to be speaking out against the Bush Admin. but even during that time. his voting record was in lock step with Bush, so it was a farce.
