Club for Growth, Palin, and her Lt. Gov.
I think I see now where this "reformer" image came from... not from what you or I or any normal person would call reforms, but what Phil Gramm would call it.

The Club for Growth is backing Palin's Lt. Governor, Sean Parnell for Congress; in the article below CFG praises her but isn't specific about her receiving backing from them herself. But that seems a safe bet. And I have a funny feeling that's who is pulling the strings behind the scenes of McC's campaign and "talking up" their reformer backgrounds to the media.

Their campaign then, has a lot less to do with religion and a lot more to do with Gramm economics. I think Palin's religious craziness is just a diversion from that. I'm convinced now that it's all about the money... native corporation contracting a la Abramoff and privatizing Social Security.

"The biggest source of Parnell's financial backing has come from the Club for Growth, a Washington-based conservative anti-earmark group that has been running attack ads questioning the Florida earmark. Young, in turn, is lashing out against the Club for Growth."

Something tells me we need to be assisting Don Young, odd as that sounds, or at least finding out what he knows somehow. The scandal he's involved in has to do with Abramoff. It would've been mighty easy for Treacherous Sarah, through her own Abramoff lobbyist, to have caused Young's downfall for the benefit of her Lt. Gov. And that kind of thing is why Palin's called a reformer... in "repub-speak" that means climbing the ladder on the dead bodies of one's ex-friends. I wonder if she set up Stevens as well? Wouldn't be surprised.

And then the great part is, she and McC will go ahead and do the same thing she blew the whistle against others for... privatized pork-barrel earmarking.

Oh and I wouldn't be surprised if a connection to either her or McC doesn't turn up sometime in the Interior Dept. scandal. I have a feeling all these separate scandals are really one connected Big Mama scandal under the surface. Reformers, that's funny!
