Any one kind of think McCain/Palin are peaking?
I'm kind of getting this feeling that McCain/Palin are peaking and things are going to be turning around quite shortly.

It seems to me that the media spotlight on Palin will/is reveal some very unlikable characteristics and that much of the media is focusing on McCain and his lies and now his "honorable" armor is starting to show chinks.

2. I think that the debates will be the tell all.
But yes, I think that the numbers are going to go back down. She is a scary person....and I think that message is getting around loud and clear.

6. Yeah.
I think eventually it's going to become obvious to everyone that they think they can lie cheat and steal their way to the White House, and that's going to turn most reasonable people against them. They're so much more blatant than Bush was...at least he was careful to leave himself rhetorical loopholes and such...these people just out and out lie about any and everything, and they don't even seem to care when they get caught. It's amazing.

after the clown show that they put on this week.

19. Large female audience too
They whined about not getting to go on Oprah. Alright, come and talk to the women of America on "The View." Not quite the softball he expected! I always have been a fan of Barbara Walters, and ALL of the women were relentless. They rocked!

13. Probably
If you look at the polls (most of which I don't really believe anyway) things have pulled back to pretty much even or at least within the margin of error. We have the debates coming up and unless she is given nothing but softball questions Palin will be shown as what she is a minor league player in the major league politics of this country. Personally I think Obama will make McCain look bad as well. With the Democrats finally calling a liar a liar (a very good move) I think you will see big changes in what the media is reporting. Of course remember it is probably not as close as the media says I think with the rise in Democratic registrations, bad economy, Iraq, etc. Obama and the Democrats are a lot further ahead than we are led to believe.

14. absolutely
I think it is hard for us to imagine, in the midst of all this, but how long has it been since the RNC? Maybe a week? Both campaigns supposedly get a bump from the convention. This year is totally non-typical in so many ways, but it has not been that long since Palin came on the scene. I think it may remain close, but I do feel they are getting ready to go back down again. The more they act desperate with total lies, the more Obama handles them with total class.... I think it is definitely possible they have peaked

17. The Mc/P ship is taking on water, and they're just trying to run out the clock.
They've played all their cards and they just want to run out the clock before Mc/P takes on enough water to sink. McCain himself has already peaked, unless he can find a second wind. The frantic pace and stress of the campaign trail in the final month will be rough on him. Palin will handle the stress of the trail better since she seems to bask in attention. However the honeymoon with Palin seems to be coming to an end.

20. Not yet - 527s just starting to pile on
as with that uber "patriotic" winger DVD shipped with newspapers and in the mail in swing states.

Lots of money yet to be spent in slimy ways, plus a strategically timed terror event of some time staged by Bushco out of their fears that a Dem administration will turn over the rocks and make their lives Hell.

They will pay anything and do anything to win/steal this election.

21. There is nothing to peak- they've got nothing but bullshit going,
including bullshit polling. This is a psyop being run by experts, but even psop experts can't make shit not stink. McSame picks an unvetted nutcase with a knocked up teen daughter and an ethics investigation going and his numbers go up? Hard to believe and I don't. Nor do I believe Bush won in 2000 or 2004.

23. I hope they are peaking.
However, I have no empirical evidence and will not be reassured until I see some poll, more importantly, Electoral College movement back towards Obama. It's a real drag going to electoral-vote.com and fivethirtyeight.com right now.
