I hear the Pat Buchanans and their ilk saying "oh, the Dems are down, they're disheartened, Palin is the greatest thing since sliced bread" (<- not a direct quote ) ;-)

But we are out there DONATING ($55 million in August is the rumor) and if the number of faces I see out on the street is any indication, we are not just donating our treasure, but our TIME. Do you know how sweet it is to see nicely dressed Main Line Ladies outside Trader Joe's this morning, registering voters behind a "Yes, We Can" sign?

People are showing up at Obama HQ, asking what they can do. In Pennsylvania alone thus far something like 250,000 new Dems are registered. People on DU are canvassing every house their legs will take them to - read the threads.

The MSM might want a horse race, but we are the power of the grassroots.

CLAIRTON, Pa. (AP) — Five days a week, Linda Graham trolls tattered neighborhoods of this once thriving steel city outside Pittsburgh for unregistered voters she can sign up as Democrats — one of thousands of unknown volunteers whose work outside the limelight has already altered the basic arithmetic of the November election.

The epic nomination battle between Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton helped put millions more Democrats on the voter rolls while Republican registration declined. Now Graham, 45, has taken three months of unpaid leave from her job at Pittsburgh's Central Blood Bank in the hope of adding to those gains before the presidential vote.

She's encouraged by the response here. "They're all feeling the crunch" of lost jobs and a sagging economy, Graham said. "But people are feeling empowered. They're feeling like, you know what, I hold a little bit of power in this."

Since the last federal election in 2006, volunteers like Graham combined with the enthusiasm generated by the Obama-Clinton struggle to add more than 2 million Democrats to voter rolls in the 28 states that register voters according to party affiliation. The Republicans have lost nearly 344,000 thousand voters in the same states.

----------------

We're on the right track, people.

Be part of the effort. Go to barackobama.com and find out where there's a voter registration effort in your town tomorrow. Walk. Make Calls. One voter at a time, folks.........

3. Done it. Did it. Doing it. Tomorrow.
Tomorrow I canvass. The rest of the week before I go to work at 3pm I will be in the low-income/subsidized apartments looking for new registrations. Wednesday I canvass at 6pm. Saturday & Sunday I canvass again! That's my schedule for the week! What's everyone else's?

You know what has motivated me to step up my efforts this week? I have 2 ex-Hillary co-workers who have now become pro-Palin people because "they like her hair and she has adorable kids"!!!!!! The other said they were mad at Obama for calling Palin a pig!!! Duh!She didn't believe me when I told her the facts.

I not only have hope for what Obama/Biden can do but now I also have fear of anti-intellectualism and racism.

I saw Obama in 2004 and said to myself that he WILL be president someday. I've even seen Biden over the years on c-span and always thought he deserved to be something more than what he was. So, in the faith of my vision of these two great people, I will be doing everything in my power to elect these two into office!

Reporting for duty! Ready to roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ready to rumble!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. Ugh - the "low information voter"
Yeah, Obama called Palin a pig. Right.

I was only able to deal with about 3 hours of standing outside the market in 95-degree heat. But your list has me energized!
