they dont care. so all this screaming is a waste of energy. and lets be honest, most of us would vote for the devil over a repub everytime. so the bases are locked up, this we know....the battle is in the middle with the fence sitters and I think they vote not against someone, but for someone, and Obama's right - it is about change. It's a change election. The GOP was given the keys to the car in 2000, and they drove it in a ditch. Keep reminding people of that. All this other noise about lipstick and lies is deafening. It's drowning out what really matters.

They were given the keys to the car, and they drove it in the ditch.

We The People need to get the tow truck, aka the presidential election, and pull the damn thing out...so fence sitters...do we seriously hand the keys back to idiots who got us in this mess? That's what us activists need to say over and over to every undecided we know.

1. what drew alot of people to Obama was his speech in 2004 at
convention.

I think he needs to stick with what got him where he is today. Maybe somehow he could deliver a wonderful speech and bring back some more focus on him.

as for Phalin, she needs to go away too. She has no experience for this critical JOB and she will likely be hatching out another babe before too long unless she gets a divorce.

She must keep on breeding! BREED BREED BREED BREED BREED like Jesus wants you to Sarah!

3. They don't care because they are trying to fix the elections again.
They are smug, complacent and coasting, telling lies in public when the have to and not worrying if they are caught in them.

4. I think McPOW's numbers are artificially inflated because people feel
sorry for him (former POW, desperate to be pres) and they like Sarah because she's female and pretty. I do believe in my heart that when people go into the election booth, they will think about the last eight years and ask themselves what has McCain offered that is different. Having to answer that question, nothing, they will do the right thing and vote for change.

5. They can deny an entire biosphere's worth of trouble...
...so they can blithely ignore the huge pile of fail that is their ticket.

6. This election proves re-pubis-cons despise the United States of America.
They will run an idiot and a walking zombie then lie to get them elected. Re-pubis-cons are criminals. :dem:

15. They know their leader is always a figurehead
I couldn't wrap my head around how they could go for a woman being President. it goes against their beliefs about the role of women. Especially a woman who has an infant.

Then it occurred to me; they realize that the person they put in office is just the figurehead. They are voting for the whole package and know that the people other than the figurehead do the real work. Reagan was their first main one. Nobody could believe this dumb actor could be elected. He was just the spokesperson, the symbolic figurehead.

It explains Chimpy and their current ticket, too.

18. It shows their ignorance of the governmental process. The President is not a mere figurehead.
And as Bush/Cheney showed us, the executive branch can easily be mutated out of control.

16. They were given the keys,
and they drove the car into a ditch.

Perfect. That's the sound bite that is impossible to forget.

Of course, as a second refrain need to add: Do you really want to give the keys back to McSame?

17. Let's face it, Obama beat an establishment candidate in the primary
He was an unknown who employed brilliant strategy against a political powerhouse and won. I trust the man's abilities and judgment. I think most people, even if they have some doubts about Obama, already know who the devil is in this equation and he looks just like the corrupt bastard in office now, the one who drove this country over a damn cliff. There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING to suggest that McCain would do things differently. Except, of course, his blatant LIES, which are getting considerable press coverage.
