10. Me too. If he can tax the hell out of those above me, that will help bring down cost of living...
... which would still be a win in our category.

I would like to think that some of this pays attention to areas one lives in and gives a little break for people that live in places like California or New York where costs are sustantially higher than other states. We used to have things to help balance that out like rental deductions, and sales tax/credit card interest deductions, but we need something to help balance that out now.

12. No comparrison with the McCain plan listed and
the Obama plan gives me less than a $500 dollar tax break. I paid a few thousand dollars in taxes last year so $500 is not enough to get me excited.

24. it's not what you pay - it's the value of it
Those with employer-sponsored coverage, however, also might want to know that under McCain's plan, they will pay taxes on the value of health care benefits they receive from their employers. It's not that families will receive a windfall of $5,000, but that the credit will more or less offset the increased taxes they'll pay.

7. Obama needs to come up with a website like this and talk it up. Would be VERY helpful
when McClown throws out in the debate that Obama is going to tax everyone that Obama can just say everyone should go to obamataxcut.com and calculate their tax CUT

17. Same with mine.
Personally, I don't think either side is going to lower taxes, though. Unless you make more than $5 million, of course, in which case McCain will be there for you.

16. Is this accurate?
Plugging in the numbers, I get for $50k income: $468.76 , $75k income: $478.92, and then $100k: $2,442.73.

What's up with that jump between $75k and $100k?
