Sarah, go home to your family and your children. You have a wee
baby who needs you,,,who is challenged,,,who does not need the germs or the crowds or someone else holding him. You have a young-woman daughter who will be dealing with the most important event of her life...you have that other little girl who appears to be a maid or an afterhought and you have the son who is going into harm's way. You have a full plate and it is a plate you asked for. Take care of it. I see absolutely nothing heroic about you playing this political game. I think most women will come to this same conclusion so you should go home and get your priorities straight.

3. Agreed. A woman's first priority is caring for her family. It's different for men.
:eyes:

I don't like her any more than anybody else, but that's a really silly thing to say.

7. I was not addressing her husband, I was addressing her. I have
a very good friend and a law partner who is the most brilliant woman I know. Harvard Law Review and a Smith graduate. Her first child was autistic, seriously autistic...plexiglass all the windows in the house autistic, come to work with clumps of hair gone autistic. She did everything she could to stay practicing law while still dealing with this child. Finally, she went home, did some important things for her son and then came back to work. She didn't ask for any of this but she dealt with what she was given in a really decent way. All I am saying is that people have to make choices and family should be at the top.

10. That was kinda my point. You didn't call for HIM to care for the family,
you suggested that SHE should stay home.

Worthy or not, the woman is running for VP of the United States. Her husband works in an oil field and fishes. It's up to them to divide the responsibilities, but I'd say that she has the better argument for "going to work".

9. We want him to go home and take care of them too.
Just in case there's any question of sexual discrimination here. Five kids with troubles need both parents.

12. Ok, so you want both parents not working?
To clarify, it's 4 kids as of today, not 5.

Only one is special-needs.

This requires both parents??

...and keep in mind that Republicans that make these kind of statements are (rightfully) burned in effigy here.

6. Give up the ego trip and pay attention to the family you created.
We sure don't want you - maybe they do.

Try it.

8. The very least you can do is put your alcoholic husband out in front of the cameras
Better yet, set him and the president up with a few beers.

14. This is absolute bullshit, go after her as a candidate but not as a working woman.
Anyone ever bring up who is watching Obama's small children while he is campaigning? No, and there should NOT be a double standard.

17. In the interest of fairness
John McCain is a small impotent fuck, without honor, that was not man enough to stand behind his wife when the going got tough.

John McCain is a disgrace to his fathers.

John McCain stands behind a woman because he is too ineffectual to stand on his own.
