Did McCain leave his disfigured ex-wife for Cindy?
If so, apparently he is quite the shallow man, wouldn't you say? What about his poor wife? Accidents happen, but being shallow to begin with is no accident, and I think it is very telling about the character of McSame! Would it be dirty pool to circulate the detailed story with facts, if true?

Sure, we'd rather talk about the issues, but we gotta have some real dirt on him and soon!

MCSHAME!!!!!

1. ah...that was 30 years ago.....he doesn't want to talk about that stuff.....
....youthful indiscretions, you know. republicans are allowed those things. not so for dems.

3. Don't you know, he was a POW and that excuses everything!
But, McCain admitted to being a serial cheater and leaving his wife for Cindy. Blamed it on his POW experience.

4. He dumped her
I read she was pretty hot when he left, then she had a car accident and had a rough recovery and gained weight and looked kind of frumpy. Enter Cindy...

6. I've heard the phrase frumpy and overweight, but I have to wonder
where that came from. She doesn't look bad at all in contemporary photos, IMO. Maybe she wasn't up for skiing or horseback riding, but she looked good.

15. that's not a bad looking
wife IMO.

The one he has now looks plastic--I think everything about her was created by some Plastic Surgeon.

16. What did she say when he came back with the limp and arm trouble?
Did she say she was repulsed by his injuries?

No, she was happy to have him back.

She must have felt like a real fool at the way he paid her back.

5. thank you........
Bush is in office largley because of the fact that Clinton, a very capable leader, couldn't keep his pants zipped. And John Edwards career has been ruined because of his infidelity.

Yet we allow John and Cindy to pass off their adulterous affair as "well that was a long time ago."

The hypocracy is sickening.

7. Yes. After many serial adulterous relationships. Cindy was the goose with the golden egg.
That was way too good to pass up.

But to be fair he does still cover her medical expenses and gave her a generous divorce settlement. Ross Perot picked up her expenses when McCain was a POW. But his leaving her later did not go well with Ross, or the Reagans.

9. She wasn't disfigured, although she was left with a limp and a loss in height.
And yeah, he started cheating on her when he returned and she wasn't looking like a fashion model anymore. Maybe he had been all along.

11. Have you been on an extended vacation without media?
Yes he did that and yes the story has circulated and yes it caused a stir.

"We gotta have some real dirt on him and soon" == ???? == check the archives already. Or The Googul.
Or you're pulling our legs and I just fell over.

Ah well, since I got started, here is a partial list of John Sidney McCain III dirt topics :

> Poor student. Close to bottom of class of 800+ students. Son & Grandson of Admirals was a Captain.
> Military dark side stuff. Various stories available but awkward. Don't want to pick on poor POW.
> Keating 5 member. Helped Charles Keating with his S&L swindles.
> Covered up wife's scandal of stealing prescription drugs from a medical charity and harassed a whistle blower who is now coming forward with more details.
> Votes against veterans. Very bad voting record, as recorded by Veterans' Groups.
> Big divergence between Senator McCain and Candidate McSame who opposes legislation Sen. McCain wrote.
> Too cozy relationship with cute blonde lobbyist, Vikki Iseman.
> Plagiarized cross story from Solzhenitsyn. Plagiarized Wikipedia to make statement on Georgia crisis.
> Teased by Cindy for thinning hair, he said at least he didn't "load on make up like a trollop, you c*nt."
> Forgets foreign policy details, needs Lieberman to whisper.
> Thinks economy is fundamentally sound. Chief financial adviser Phil Gramm calls us a nation of whiners.
> Scrambles words at biker convention on stage, where he also wanted Cindy in Miss Buffalo Chip contest.
> Said people who earn $5 million and up would be rich.
> Doesn't remember how many houses he owns. Tells us to ask his staff.
> Wears $520 loafers but calls others elitist.
> Wife says you really need a little plane to get around in rural Arizona.
> Lies through his teeth at campaign events. But I guess that's just a plain old Republican attribute.
> Chose an unqualified VP with lots of scandals.
