4. I love James Garner!
My folks used to eat breakfast with him when they all lived in a boarding house in Oklahoma.

8. Seriously?
Wow!
I always wanted to BE him in the Rockford Files, living in a trailer right on the beach in Malibu....

:hi:

BTW, that bridge would be useful to the people there not because of the 50 people, but because of the International Airport build on that island, across the river from Ketchican, but served now by ferry.

IMO, let Alaska pay for the f'ing bridge with all the revenue they get from oil leases and other resources.

12. You won!
TWICE! Because that's at least how many times he said it. First he related the 200 million to money better spent on child tax credits. Then he used the analogy to illustrate how government dollars could be better spent shoring up infrastructure, right after the I-35W Mississippi River bridge collapse.

14. Bite you tongue!
Miz P. don't need no weenie defense fund. She's a hornswagglin', bar- wrestlin', AK47-shootin', pitbull soccer mom! She'll take them all on, bare-handed while simultaneously suckling Trig and making macaroni and cheese!

6. McShit-head said it of course...
<snip>
"Maybe if we had done it right, maybe some of that money would have gone to inspect those bridges and other bridges around the country," McCain told a group of people in a town-hall style meeting in Ankeny, Iowa.

"Maybe the 200,000 people who cross that bridge every day would have been safer than spending $233 million of your tax dollars on a bridge in Alaska to an island with 50 people on it."

15. Surely it must have been some evil liberal scum that doesn't understand that small town values shape
America.

I'm going to guess Ted Kennedy.
