8. It's an observation, not an opinion...
I've noticed it, too, and it seems strange to me and I'm glad somebody mentioned it.

I just wonder about it.

Bristol wasn't mentioned and I don't think she should be...the baby is lucky to have her in his life whatever the relationship. She obviously cares about him but I'm perplexed at the behaviour of the parents. Maybe there's an explanation for it. Just out of curiosity, I would welcome people's thoughts on it.

2. Drop it. This doesn't help us.... at this point, any OP that references Bristol is...

...highly suspect in the "trolling" area.

6. I with you. It very much matters.
It speaks to Palin's character. Undecideds will make their decision on character not on the issues.
Dems need to take off their white gloves. This is not a tea party. This is fight for our lives.
When Democrats ever learn? We are not fighting with principled people in this election. Get over it.

We need to show Palin how she really is. I think she is one lousy mother on a whole number of scores including this one.

9. I like these super bossy types around here who are forever screaming at us
to DO THIS (ring doorbells, give money, etc.) and DON'T DO THIS (critique Obama or his campaign.)

Sheeh - isn't this a forum for discussion? We are all pro Obama/Biden but we aren't allowed to discuss what's on our minds?

Looks like a lot of baby fascisti hanging out on DU.

13. Shes' running for V.P. and mother of the year apparently..
normal moms and housewifes "relate" to her. That's the narrative. Most women can't relate to abandoning your newborn special needs infant so you can run around the country running for national office, a job she ACTIVELY lobbied for, and possibly hid her pregnancy in order to be kept in contention for it.

16. Thank you!
I am sick of the posts defending Palin. Almost every thread I read about Palin on DU has some retort asking people to "lay off" Palin.

By bringing her children out like theatrical props, she has made her actions as their mother part of the campaign.

7. I normally don't care about the "mothering" issue
but I found the reception yesterday very odd as far as photo-ops go.

Very cold. On both the mother and the father's part. Several people at my work were disgusted by it enough to mention it at lunch.

I feel sorry for their children.

14. When greeting her children she patted the baby on the head ???
And gave a quick peck on the cheek????? What mother who has been away from her baby for any length of time would not have immediately grabbed the baby and clutched him in her arms.

This woman is very disturbing. She promotes killing wolf cubs within their dens (it's called denning) so as to insure more caribou to kill. She promotes aerial shooting of wolves and giving a bounty to all hunters who furnish the left leg of the wolf killed???? Serious hunting is one thing, but this woman is callous and cold. My grandson is now serving in Iraq, I sure as hell want a Commander-in-Chief along with his Veep to care about he and his comrades along with the Iraqi civilians who he has grown to know and like.

How she treats her family and how she cares for living things deserves a first and second look if she is to lead our Nation and our people.

10. I've noticed that the daughters act much more motherly..
than the Barracuda does toward the baby, especially Bristol. It's obvious that they spend much more time around him than she does.

Sorry to the nannies who hate these sorts of comments, but my impression of her is that she's running for V.P. right now and doesn't have time to be a mother to that baby, and she's not particularly bothered about it.

mothering for them.

the fact that she's campaigning. Is she supposed to hold him while she's giving a speech and shaking hands?
